Talk about torture testing ... wow ... back to back to back ... and it sounded like it hooked and wasn't slipping too badly. Also, the rear tires look like comp series gumballs, so the driveline must be pretty solid.

I still do not think the voodoo revs much faster than a coyote, and i thought that was supposed to be a benefit of the FPC. This actually sounds like it revs quicker, and actually sounds exotic. I feel like this car is going to kick ass on the road course.

Edit: he has to still be a virgin

No question it sounds na. With all the hysteria going on with regular C8s, 25-50k over msrp used, this car will be nearly impossible to touch at any price.

For real, we had to listen to that kid talk before we could actually hear the car.

Ford had to sacrifice many of the advantages a FPC offers over a CPC from design to production. There are some very informative videos and articles that detail it out. A couple of the significant tradeoffs were rotating assembly mass, crank layout, and firing order vs. a typical FPC V8.

It will be interesting to see what this C8 actually comes to market with. GM certainly has a big benefit of being able to extensively race test a likely close relative to the road going version. You can bet there is a lot of data sharing happening between the race and production teams.

yes i've read some of these, it seems GM is doing it properly (if they stay together)

pains me to read people claiming the voodoo is a feat of engineering knowing all it's handicaps. it is a well thought out track car, but the whole FPC thing seems gimmicky IMO
