2020 Super Duty 10r140 recall? CSP 21B03

I was looking for info a few weeks ago while shopping for a new HD truck and came across this video.

Have any of you 10r140 owners received this letter?

That sucks. Reuse the trans filter?!!?!?!

I have been happy with my 2020 Sliverado 2500 HD. There have been some nuisance issues, but it hauls like a champ and has been mechanically solid.

I was disappointed to learn of this. Of the Big 3's offerings... they all have their issues, but this one seems significant.

TBH, i was expecting something similar with the 10r80 when it came out in 2018 being it was brand new.

Well this sucks big time.

This will be a costly fix for Ford.

An invasive repair as well....pray for a good tech.

Wouldn't it be easier to replace the transmission vs the repair?

That TSB looks like they are tearing apart the trans and repairing it. Crazy but probably more cost effective.

I fear for those that go to dealerships with no master transmission tech. I guarantee alot of transmissions will come back worse than before the repair.

I first found out about this early in April. No recall notice received in the mail, and Ford Pass app doesn't have one either.

Eh, just pay the dealer to replace the filter when they open the trans up.

Sucks for the level of work required, joy of buying a newer truck with newish trans
