Got to Spend Some Time in a Bronco Sport

While Mustangs are our normal choice of high-performance vehicle, we jumped at the
chance to try the all-new 2021 Bronco Sport. With cameras and warm clothes in hand, we
were off to wintery Michigan for a drive. Ford set us up with a Cyber Orange First
Edition model with the 2.0L EcoBoost engine and a full day at Holly Oaks ORV Park in
Holly, MI. The park is a maze of trails, hills and obstacles and covered in snow, it made
the perfect playground for the new Ford.

As you can see in the video, Bronco Sport is a capable machine. We enjoyed the day
climbing hills, sliding and drifting in the snow and cruising the various trails at Holly
Oaks. Bronco took us everywhere we asked it to and never complained. The ride was not
harsh, even over some bouncy sections and the G.O.A.T. modes let you select the best
suspension and power combo for the conditions. The 2.0L EcoBoost four-cylinder had
plenty of power and even produced a nice exhaust note (listen to the audio in the video).

Simply stated, we had a blast and felt the Bronco Sport exceeded our expectations.
In addition, we spent a few days on the streets, and were pleased with the daily driver
capabilities. Bronco is not noisy and there’s plenty of room for five adults or a ton of

So this video is on your YouTube Channel? You don't post much so I wasn't sure if you were the one who produced the video. Informative. I'm not a big fan personally of the smallish Bronco Sport. The regular Bronco, though, THAT is the real deal Bronco. The one folks have been impatiently waiting for. Thanks for the review of the Sport.

Some nice information, i would assume the 2.0 ecoboost is really the only engine to want in the bronco sport

Had our '19 Explorer Sport in for a recall and scored a 2021 Bronco Sport for a loaner.

I like this Bronco Sport Outer Banks Edition. Drove it about 50 highway miles. It only had 100 miles on it to start with. Reminds me of my 2020 GT Mustang. You sit lower, big hood, smaller windshield view.
Leather seats are very comfortable. I also like the raised touch screen and temp controls.
Heated steering wheel & seats are nice. Layout of steering wheel buttons are well thought out.
Rode like a smaller SUV, no surprise.

This Bronco Sport had the 1.5L, 181 hp/190 trq. 3 Cylinder Ecoboost. I didn't get on it at all.

I heard someone say the Bronco Sport is, "An Escape with a big hood". That's probably true. We have a '12 Escape and this is the same size.

Cons:
- Confusing Bronco Sport (4 dr./front wheel drive) & Bronco (2 dr. or 4 dr./rear wheel drive). Ford must have been trying to extend the name into other vehicles like they did with the Mustang MachE. SMH.
- Not a fan of the black/tan interior. Make it black or tan, not both. Looks like they ran out of each color to complete it.
- I don't like the dial shifter and never will. Give me the handle.
- Ugh, I hate that auto-off feature of the engine.







Actually, I thought it had a 6 cylinder after I popped the hood and saw the 3 injectors. Just assumed there were 3 on the opposite side under the cover - lol.





If I was going to buy one, I'd probably look at the basic 2 dr. with a manual.

While getting my truck serviced this morning, my wife and I looked at a base model Bronco Sport they had. My wife loved it and wants to replace her Edge with one. I liked it, felt and looked bigger then a Escape. It has something I need headroom. If we get one it will be a badlands, have to have the bigger motor.

Isn't the Badlands sold out for the MY? Yeah, that would be the model I'd want.

I saw one the other day in person. Looks better in person, but would still go for the bigger non sport model. That said, didn’t look too bad.

The Sport is just a bowl of unshucked peanuts before the real Bronco is plated. Not worth what they're asking.

Saw a red one yesterday “butt Ugly” and smaller than I thought they would be. Glad I chose the Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk.

I ordered a Bronco Sport Badlands for my mother-in-law to replace her Escape, and it's actually a pretty cool setup. I cleaned it up this morning and was able to surprise her with it shortly thereafter.
