The obvious answer. Won't even have to pick up the bodies afterwards
Our two Beagle pups completely trashed the back yard. I'll have to take some photos.Looking for some ideas on how to deter squirrels from my yard.
I'm having MAJOR issues with squirrels digging all over my rear yard and tearing up my newly planted grass.
There are areas that literally look plowed because they have dug it so much... At any given time there are 3-4 of the little shits running around back there.
I don't think my neighbors would appreciate me sitting out there with a .22 or paintball gun, and my wife would probably divorce me for it anyways...
Its a decent sized yard, so any repellant could get expensive.
Anyone had luck with fake owls or hawks?
I've seen trees with aluminum foil wrapped around the base. Not sure if that's for squirrels or bugs though.
Any ideas?
A Pellet gun and a hard heart.
Leave their lifeless bodies in the yard as a cautionary tale to the other tree rats.
That’s what my father-in law does. I visited him last year and there were two dead squirrels on the lawn near his back porch that he shot. He left them there until wildlife took their corpses.A Pellet gun and a hard heart.

THIS is all you need along with a crockpot.Crosman .177 will do the job all day long.
Time for a semi auto pcp air rifle. Blast those little shits!I live in a heavily wooded area and have shot more than I can count and it does not put a dent in the population. There is an infinite supply of squirrels where I am at.
No, they’re cool to watch, but if they’re causing destruction then they have to go.Man, didn't realize so many people hated the critters. I really enjoy having them around. A while back my neighbor mentioned he was picking them off and asked how I was dealing with them. I told him I loved watching them, they're free entertainment, and I'd return fire if I ever caught him. He never mentioned it again.
