Considering Nitto 555 G2 for the front tires on my GT500.
I want something in the 300 tread wear rating. I am running Toyo Proxies 888R on the rear.
I do not get on the track and only occasional street pulls in low speed pulls.

I would also consider Michelin, but had issues with a set for my truck. 2 of the tires would not balance and nor run smooth.

I do not want to go through that again.
Anything wrong with my choice or something comparatively better.
I am not worried about slight cost differences.
thanks,

I've had a few sets of Michelins on my car. I never had any balancing issue. High performance summer tires have better carcasses than truck tires.

That's what I'm running on the front (555R's in the rear), no complaints here after a few years (other than little rear traction ;) ). Good luck.

All-Season Michelins on mine. Love the fact I can drive when it is cold, but clear and dry out. Never had issues with the Michelins I've had on any of my vehicles.

Thanks for the replies and advise. I will read up on the Continental's and reconsider the Michelins.
Which Michelin, for the front, summer tire OK, being lazy.
thanks,
I guess supply, might be a factor in what I get. Did not know that was going on.
Running the original Goodyears, 7K miles on the front, need to get then off.

Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+ for the fronts and rears.

How are you liking the 888 on the rear?

The Toyo's are the best tires, I have run on a strong motored car, (street only)
I am running some 315/30-18 G-Force Rivals on the rear of a Factory 5 Cobra with a Gen 1 aluminator, 3.55 gears, that are holding really well also. The Toyos seem to have a stiffer sidewall, good for the Shelby. The G-Force are staying under the car, only 1300 miles
Both cars stored inside, slow aging the rubber, should be slower than parked outside.

On the Michelin Pilot A/S 3's , they might be harder than I want. I want to stay in the 300's tread wear rating. Both tires have a AA traction rating, so I am scratching my head on that.

I've run MPSS, Invo and G2s. Didn't like MPSS. Invo were good but did have a little road noise. I'm most happy with the G2s front and rear. They were also priced affordably.

Below 40 degrees stay with the Michelin as3.

I watched a video with back to back runs, 888 had better traction than 555.

19" fronts are an uncommon/ expensive size, so that could either help or hurt with backordering.
