Yeah congrats on spending almost $100,000 on a useless paper weight, as it'll probably take that much to get it back to where you can just start it without puking all it's fluids, oils, and lubricants out as the seals and gaskets have deteriorated to dust.

Not really though

I'm adding $100,000 total and combining it should of been more clearer but I say $20-30 grand to get it to be able to turn key start and drive.

Just because its a low mile car dosen't mean someone didn't do any maintenance on it, as for the leaks you (i think) mentioned earlier, i hope you realize this isn't a cork gasket motor from the 60's. If your paying 20 to 30 grand to have someone change your fluids sign me up i can be there tomorrow lol.

I don’t think this drives prices up for cobras as a whole. The mystic chrome ones with low miles for sure, only just over a 1000 ever produced. But the rest no. Also who ever bought that car have 0 intentions of driving it. That’s like dating a super model and never attempting to screw her to keep her tight. No thanks.

All classic and enthusiast cars have gone up big time in the past few years. It's a few things at play:
- Being forced to stay at home the last year due to covid and binge buying.
- The stock market has went crazy the past years, some of that easy money is buying toys.
- The writing is on the wall for the ICE. Get a good one while you still can.
- The true analog cars are likely gone forever, these cars are highly sought after.
- Auctions like BaT and Barrett Jackson all drive up prices. I think you pay about 20% more in these auction environments than a regular transaction.

Wow, I think the take here is way off.

Find another example and post it.
Are there any even??
It's a piece of art, especially because of the paint and seats. I think the buyer will do VERY well in the longterm, I wouldn't even call this excessive speculation.

This car was worth every penny of the 72k that if went for. The reason being is because someone paid that money for it. It might not be a 72k car for you or me, but it is to the buyer. Just the same, I’m sure there are a couple cars that, if low mileage, I would probably drop absurd coin on

There are many; I’ve counted 10 in the last year. Not mystichrome or convertible but there have been many that have sold for over 20k less. The mystichrome’s that come up like this still go for less. Theres members on here who have examples with less miles.

This is probably the highest a termie has sold for.

On another note, I remember seeing coupe mystic at Big Sur 3-4 years ago, it was in such a bad condition, really sad. I wish I could have bought that thing to bring it back to glory.

I think the values will start climbing on these cars.

1. The government is going after ICE cars. So the people that love the visceral part of the hobby will need to get their Fox in the used market.

2. With the YouTube All Stars craze you have retards buying these cars for content and clout.

3. Younger retards are getting these things thinking they can beat on them without maintenance and consequences then part them out when they break.

4. People are buying these to part out. Nothing wrong just parting them out.

Shit I passed up a year ago due to price I’d have to jump on with a quickness today.

I have sold a few cars to collectors and thought they were crazy for paying what they did for them. Well, the joke was/is on me. The buyer knew what he was doing as might be the case here. You never know what the future will bring in the car world.
