From the day I bought it I kept telling myself I am going to fix this, but never did it.

My list is not too bad,

AC not blowing cold, not bad for me it is a convertible.
Dam ashtray lid is broken off, but still have it.
Passenger side window inoperable but works from master switch.
Cassette broke, again not bad as I use cds. I took out the radio and pulled out the broken cassette and put back in, flap broke off but I still have it to at least cover up the cassette hole.

Since getting my 97 in 2016, I try to tackle a couple of the small problems each year. Bigger problems get dealt with sooner than later.

I get pretty crazy when anything "breaks" so I usually fix right away even if it means less sleep, because it bothers me.

That being said though in my 96 the black rubber inside where the brake handle is ripped. I have a new one but I never have put it in yet, mostly because I am not so certian it will be any better or worth the effort .

Need to glue the track back on my driver door window, it rolls up just a hair to far.

Just deleted my IMRC's, did new VC gaskets, manifold gaskets and spark plug seals as well. Put it all back together, got a new battery since I needed one, fired it up and some smoke coming out from the bottom side of the pass side VC. Guess I have to pull that off again...my thinking is the gasket didn't seal all the way. The passenger side gasket absolutely sucks, don't know why everyone says the driver side is the worst. Other than that, ready to go, just need some solid rain storms to get the salt away.

Put a couple dabs of gasket maker onto the vc before placing the gasket on. Same goes for the spark plug gaskets. Just makes it easier.

I just remembered when I got the car there was a code for an oxygen sensor. I did not think it would be much. After having looked at it, he traced it back to IMRC in bank 1. I am not familiar with this issue at all. Sure enough it was fixed. I did not know you could delete them. I will look into it.

Yea, if they get stuck it can cause lots of issues, smoking, poor fuel consumption etc. Come to find out my passenger side cable was cut or it snapped at some point, so that whole side was staying closed and robbing me of power. You can zip tie them open, but if you do that it's recommended to get a tune since the factory programming would be looking for them functioning.

My "small" issue is time. It's been sitting in pieces on my lift for a year and a half. On project snowballed into another snowballed into another snowballed into another and suddenly quite literally the only thing I haven't had out of the car yet is the engine itself.

I have a leaking AC discharge line. I bought the part just too lazy to take it to a shop to install it. I can't do the work myself and everyone wants to charge an arm and leg to do it so I'll suck it up eventually and pay.... I also got some interior pieces I gotta fix, minor rattles....

Door locks take multiple times to correctly work. I don't feel like drilling out the rivets and replacing them. Plus, since it's a very, I have long since stopped locking it. I just chose not to ever have anything of value if I go somewhere.

White letting wearing off the switches really annoys the shit out of me, same with the radio.

Overheating in the fall has led to new radiator, water pump, heater core and now the wiring after removing the dash is being a pita.
Also managed to break a trim piece during removal so that’s something I’m trying to track down too now.

I’m ready to drive the damn thing again.

Considering DIY on the synchro's,
A/C not cold, r/r suspension (still OEM from 98, orig owner + a few OT miles, :^) redo drivers seat foam, straighten exhaust since installing o/r X and LT headers, looking for a shifter knob for the s/t shifter, stupid me twisted the leather cover on the original knob. that's a start.

Waiting on a couple of tools for the T45 rebuild/clutch r&r and welder accessories to weld in the frame connectors and t/a mount. Other than recharging the a/c and maybe fixing or replacing the trunk lock cylinder, she's done.

My hood latch suddenly will not lock. Been on youtube, found a guy that successfully shimmed it with a couple of washers. Tried that, no luck. Suggestions?

What 'special' tools are needed for T45 rebuild? Or the ones that make to job go easier.

Not sure they're needed, but besides a bearing splitter, I bought a few of the Ford service adapters to install the bearings and races, a tool to install the tob guide tube, and a specific tool to remove the 5th/reverse cluster (supposedly this can be done with a drift and just working it off, but the tool simply pulls it off). Will need a few pieces of round tubing to press a couple of bearings on, but that should be it and a lot cheaper and easier to find than the service tools for those tasks.
