does anyone know the differences between the svtpp shocks and struts compared to the shelby kr models? i have a 2012 shelby gt500 equipped with svtpp and i am thinking of changing over to the kr shocks and struts, or purchase a set of koni adjustables. this will be for mainly street-performance type driving. i will also be installing steeda camber plates and steeda gt500 sports springs along with a steeda adjustable panhard bar.

Personally i would go with Koni shocks over the KR shocks. The factory KR or SVTPP shocks are not designed for lowering springs.

My experience with Koni has not been a good one. I got the non adjustable front struts and rear shocks on a car with FRPP lowering springs. One of the rear shocks blew within the first month and both front struts were leaking within the first 2 years. I drive mine a lot, so the fronts has about 35k miles on them when I noticed they were leaking, but that still isn't what I would expect from a "premium" brand suspension part. Just FYI.

So why didn't you send them back? They have a lifetime warranty. OP, I ditched my PP components for Koni single adjustables and have since migrated to different double adjustables with coil overs. I thought the Koni's were awesome. I would not hesitate to go back to that set-up. I don't know if you're describing Steeda's heavy duty strut mount, but I used that too and it was equally impressive.

To my knowledge, they don't have a lifetime warranty. If I recall correctly they have a 1 year warranty period,, but I will check on that. I warranteed the blown rear shock because it was the first month it was on the car. That process wasn't the best, as I had a couple of choices on how to handle it. First, I could take the shock off the car, send it to them, wait for them to determine if it was a defective shock, once they made their decision they would send me a replacement shock. Shipping to them on my dime. Car down while waiting for their determination. Then waiting for shock to be shipped back. OR I could buy the shock from them at a discount, put it on the car, send the defective one back to them, wait for the determination of whether it was defective, and if it was determined to be, then they would credit me back the money on my card. Less down time, so that is what I did. If they are lifetime warrantied, I will do that with the front struts then.

I went to Koni's website and Catmonkey is correct, they do in fact, have a lifetime warranty so I will be contacting them shortly. Thank you Catmonkey.

Will you be doing Upper Control Arm and Lower Control Arms, springs?
I think to get the full benefit you should. I replaced my stock stuff with Koni and have attached my build thread.

I was happy. Tires help a lot! 100% street car and before and after height of car if your into that thing

You’re making a wise choice going with Steeda, why not have them help you spec the complete package?

Do the Steeda heavy duty upper strut mounts allow for caster/camber adjustment? I had to ditch my 13/14 spec upper strut mounts in order to mount Shelby caster/camber plates because after lowering the car, the front was out of spec and with the Shelby CC plates, they basically take the place of the upper strut mount.

Yes.

Only camber. I was running my OEM SVTPP springs with this setup, which is about 1/2" lower than the base springs. The Koni does tend to lower the spring pad, so the ride height may be slightly lower.
