How are they doing on time reason I'm asking is cause my friend just got his set of intro after waiting for 5 months. Granted there 28x15 but still what kinda time frame are they saying?

yikes! ive never had a set take that long. did he order direct or through a shop? if through a 3rd party they may have dropped the ball or ran into a payment issue... it could also be the size of the wheel too.

if you go through me, i can poke the bear to get things moved along. right now is super busy time. tax season, stimulus checks, etc... on the quick end id say maybe 8 weeks (some times way sooner if youre lucky) and on the slow end 12 weeks. it also depends on finish options which can delay things.

Those look bad ass Steve!! Very nice man.
Do you build each wheel by hand in that shop?? Serious question.

yes and no. the hoops come as hoops as you see them stacked up on the side there. the centers start out as big, giant ugly forged billet discs. looks like a 200lb flying saucer. they are then CNC'd to cut out the design the customer wants. they go from machine to machine having different steps done. then finally they go off to the finisher. whether its off to the polishing shop for polishing, brushing or "prep for paint" or to the powder coater to have parts powder coated. you then take the hoop and place it onto a rotating table with a torch hitting it. this expands the hoop so you can drop the center in place, to whatever offset is desired. the hoop starts to cool quickly and holds the hoop in place. the center is then welded to the hoop on the back side of the wheel. 100% American made with locally sourced aluminum. when they get damaged and need repairs, they come right back here. usually they can just grind off the weld and replace the hoop.

with a 2 piece welded wheel, you can dial in the offset exactly. you're not hamstrung by lip/inner sizes.

I’ve had 2 sets in the past. If I do decide to change wheels on the Vette, I will definitely be in touch. Might be looking to step down to a 19” rear anyway for more grip. Very limited tire sizes that actually hook in 20” over a 315 section width.

Is this real? Seriously... because I hope it is. And on top of it all, @04sleeper had to post pics of his old Cobra with True Forged wheels on it.

man, growing up on SVTP I always wanted a set of True Forged. Now I just need to find something to put them on. Too bad they dont do beadlocks.
