Sucks to hear he didn't pay up. A man's name is only something he can destroy. There are several people who OWE ME and that's exactly how I see it. To an extent..I own them and they know it. Sometimes...that's better than the money.
To add a quick story to this. I sold my 02 GT Mustang but before hand I removed some plastic interior pieces that I had painted to match the car. Sold them to some stranger off a forum. He paid half upfront and was to pay the other half when he was happy with said parts. Not everyone is as kind as that. I didn't really care about the parts and was transferring and needed them gone. He got them, happy but said he didn't have the money and could we call it even. I said absolutely not. I said your a grown man and agreed to the terms. I said I realized we fall on hard times so you take care of you and when you can afford to send me the balance do so. Till you do you will owe me. I got the money within a month. He got to keep his name in good standing.
