Kids today don't know how easy they have it. When I was young, I had to walk 9 feet through shag carpet to change the TV channel.

Senility has been a smooth transition for me.

Remember back when we were kids and every time it was below freezing outside, they closed school? Yeah, Me neither.

Ah, yes, the memories of yesteryear! LOL.

Not to hi-jack the thread, but related to yesteryear, remember Creature Features every Saturday night at 9:00 if I remember right. My two brothers and I would always look forward to it, especially since our parents went over to their friends' house on Saturday nights. I also remember us playing tackle football in the freaking (small) living room. LOL!!!

Yeah my dad would always make us change the channel and volume. Then when we were watching, my youngest brother became the remote
All three, and we were the channel changers. Remember the electric rotary dial to move the antenna?

I do remember Creature Feature!

We also would tear up the house playing football or baseball in the house. We used a Nerf grapefruit sized "basketball" as the baseball, and your hand was the bat. We even had bases, a home plate, and would call balls and strikes using "the honor system". The curtains were the backstop. Curtains also functioned as the goal posts for extra points, and field goals. Used the same ball for both sports so we wouldn't wreck anything.

If we knew our parents were going to be gone for a long time, we would move all the furniture to one side of the living room to really open things up LOL! We just had to put everything back exactly on the indentations in the carpet so they wouldn't know !
