I agree don't bash the idea because it is at least something...

Crazy thing is we are talking about putting this energy in a car hobby... never mind the deterioration of speech rights, gun rights, freedom of religion, etc, etc...

I agree probably should do something, but in my opinion we are way too far gone. Sad thing is it was taken by friends, family and people you interact with daily. Way too many people are not going to give a shit about a car hobby...

Sounds like there needs to be a legit marketing campaign to raise awareness. It very well could affect everyone daily. Something as simple as winter tires could certainly be affected because it alters mpg/emissions outside the "certified" spec. Repair costs will keep climbing, and becoming more specialized. Sorry Grandma, I can't change your oil anymore because dealer has to hook computer up to it and they have to certify the oil filled is emissions compliant. Roadside sniffers tag your car and send it to the crusher similar to how they treat street racers in some cities now.

I may be on a path to destruction, but I will go down being true to my beliefs. When I was going to Colorado State University and people were trying to get signatures for legalizing marijuana, I wouldn't sign. They also invited taxes upon themselves to exercise what I believed to be a fundamental human right. The idea that you have to buy or ask permission to exercise your rights is a no-go for me. To be perfectly honest, I do respect the idea that pollution is a threat to public health. Nobody is pro-pollution. I just think vehicles used for recreational purposes are not a major contributor.

Just watched YDB Alex(Lund-ish) latest videos and he does bring up some similar points too. How anything and everything could be impacted based on the current "enforcement initiative".

They're kinda long watches, the EPA points are kinda scattered throughout or I'd link set timestamps. Nothing groundbreaking really, just making some good points, which hopefully raises awareness for viewers at least.

We need to get Jessica Barton in a bikini to do a bunch of videos about this. Guaranteed that the message will spread in the car community.
