Picked up a couple more zombie apocalypse toys! First up is a Savage Axis II Precision heavy barrel in 30-06 Springfield. Chassis, scope rings, magazines and muzzle break are by MDT. Scope is a Vortex Strike Eagle 5-25x56mm FFP MRAD reticle

I have a question, do zombie eyes light up in a night vision scope like a Coyote’s do?

Next is a Killer Instinct Lethal 405 crossbow. 405fps, 210lb draw weight, 4x32 scope. I never owned a crossbow before so I'm looking forward to shooting it.

Everyone should own a crossbow.

GSG 1911 22LR with brushed stainless slide. Beautiful full size 1911, feels great in the hand, can't wait to try it out!

I had one of those years ago, hate I ever got rid of it. It ran pretty reliably on CCI ammo and strangely on the cheapest remington thunderbolts you could find. Anything in between would start to get failures probably 1 or 2 per mag. Fun gun to shoot and surprisingly accurate.

Suppressed 22LR would too!

That's true, but with neighbors left and right and a walking/bike trail/path at the rear of our lot, there's a risk of being seen shooting. Can't shoot with town limits. :(. Not that a crossbow wouldn't attract unwanted attention..

Morning fun...finally installed the 110 outlets and some lighting in my Liberty 64. Top shelf is upside down....warping so gravity can now undo what it did. I don’t keep anything heavy up there. I have a Peet’s dehumidifier going in tomorrow. Things I should have done long ago. Found about 1000 rounds of 9mm....I'm RICH! I think I have more M1 rounds than 9MM though...sad.

I added some lights to my safe as well. It's a Liberty Fat boy jr I got locally for like $800. I have an older, really good Canon safe, back when they made high quality safes- 11ga, quality paint, gold hardware, auto-locking bolt - it's at the house my son is renting from me, I need to get it over to my new house as you can see my safe is a little crowded and disorganized- anyways... The lights are on both sides and the top, it's the liberty light kit with the motion sensor in the bottom right. It's so much nicer with instant light. I need to better organize, I am putting my ammo in cans in another cheap file cabinet type safe with a golden rod in it and I'm going to take the guns I have in the plastic cases out and put the cases away somewhere else to save some space.

Nice! My father n law has that safe as well who got me turned onto them in the first place. I debated on the rod which I see in your pic or this Peets. Not sure which operates better but yours looks great right there.

Now THAT'S a loaded and ready safe, Mike. Do you store all of your ammo in the safe, or do you store a large supply elsewhere?

I hadn't seen the Peet dehumidifier - I just checked it out. Looks good. I like the goldenrod. I had 2 smaller ones in this safe and I couldn't get the humidity down below 60%. I bought the 36" one and it keeps the humidity in the 45ish % range. I'd put a humidity meter in the safe and check out the humidity levels a few times, the Pete unit may be perfect or you may need to supplement with an additional unit. Air movement plus heat seems like it might be a little more efficient than just heat?

I have ammo all over the place, I am trying to get organized and get it into a security cabinet I have. My ultimate goal is to get my safe from my other house over here and put the ammo in there. I never really thought of another safe for ammo but with today's crazy ammo prices...

Once my ammo is in my Cannon I can use my cheap security cabinet as a dummy safe. I'll leave it loosely attached or maybe not even attached to the wall with some broom handles and bricks in it that way if anyone breaks in they'll think it's an easy safe to get and hopefully take the whole thing and run vs. trying to break into the other safes.

Here is my Cannon I need to move to my new house:

Here is the security cabinet I am using for most my ammo, this will be my dummy safe when I relocate the Cannon:

I also added rifle rods. I really like how much easier it is to pack in and get to the rifles but the short rifles cause the rifle rods to bow. I am going to add a small platform on the left to raise the short rifles up so the rods don't bow so much. I can also free up shelf space moving my other shorter guns like the X95, MPX and Scorpion off the shelves to the rifle side on the platform.

These things:

Note how the rifle rods bow with shorter rifles - check out the tiger camo Mini-14 on the left. A little homemade riser should resolve that issue.

I use those also. Makes it much neater then having them laying against each other.

I have been looking for a Smith & Wesson MP 15-22 for some cheap plinking. Couldn't find one anywhere and stopped by Dunham's to check out what they had. Ended up with a H&K 416D and had a $50 coupon. Of course had to try it out right away and was pleased with it. Handled the cheap ammo that my wife's Ruger MK III jams on with no problem. Fun little rifle.

Site won't let me upload other pictures for some reason

Was just out doing an ammo run with the girl yesterday and actually came across a S+M 15-22 at old glory guns and ammo in New Hampshire. If you are still looking maybe they could do a transfer down south. Even tho you already bought you know the saying, you can never have too many guns.

Thanks but I think my wife would "object" strenuously if I did that! The H&K is actually more substantial than the S&W, more metal parts. I was happy with it.
