Nice! I like your car better,it looks to be in better condition between the two just by looking at pictures.I would definitely have scooped it up if it was still available!Enjoy that beautiful car!!!!
Thanks. Hope you find what you’re looking for.

I hate the front license plate thing too, but can’t you just get the front bumper cover filled and sprayed again? I realize it’s not “original paint” but I can’t see that being a deal breaker.

He has a beautiful red fire with 480 miles. But at 48k it’s a bit insane.

Am I crazy to buy a Cobra with under 500 miles to be a daily driver? Some people say it will need a ton work because the mileage is so low,all the seals will be dried out etc.As long as it is in good condition and has been stored properly shouldn’t it be just as reliable as any other super low mileage cobra out there??Of course I will be changing all fluids and will be keeping it stock!

#1. The answer to the first question is YES!
#2. All other questions afterwards are irrelevant for turning a sub 500 mile Terminator into a daily driver.
Keep referring back to #1...

Oh ya that is dumb, but I think you already know that. In my opinion if you are going to daily it you want to find a very clean and very stock or stock-ish example with under, say 50k miles or so with documentation.

So an even more impossible car to find lol, good luck on the search

I bought a 2400 mile Mystichrome convertible and there were no leaks or anything. All I did was change the original tires and drove it. Oh, and I did an oil change. It didn't smoke, it didn't leak or anything. My second Mystichrome was a coupe with 14,000 miles and same thing. Just changed the oil. My current Mystichrome (third one) has 9400 miles and no issues. Everyone was telling me to change the tranny fluid, diff fluid, etc. and all that was unnecessary.

All three cars were rock solid reliable and both coupes were pullied and modded with no problems. My advice would be to just change the engine oil, check tire dates and change if necessary, check the strength of the coolant and change if necessary, and change the brake fluid and you'll be fine.

EDIT: I'm going to caveat this and say that I kind of agree with the other 2 posters above me. I think it's kind of crazy to daily an 18-19 year old Terminator. I know it's being done but remember that a lot of these parts are obsolete by Ford and hard to find now. Also, you're going to pay high $30's and even $40's to daily drive a car so old. It would be better to find something with higher miles for less money to daily and park in the street, at the mall, in parking lots, etc. At those miles and this point, that's a weekend driver for nice days.

i wouldn't think you're crazy, except for the keeping it stock part lol. it's sort of like buying a brand new terminator - 20 years later - which is something they're never going to make any more of. so if that's the model car you have your heart set on, i'd say go for it. imo buying a new car is always better buying than someone else's problem where you don't know what's going to come up. i've always ever only bought new (or used) cars for the sole purpose of driving them; i've never felt the need to buy a statue that i could peek at under a cover in my garage. a visceral performance muscle car like a cobra is way too much fun to drive to just look at.

two things though - it is very possible some of the components (such as seals) have become brittle over time, so expect that you may need to refresh them. the valve stem seals on my coupe were leaking oil ever since i bought it. it sat most of its 9 years before it got it, but i've put 60k on it in the 8 years since without changing them, so it's not too bad. and secondly, a bone stock cobra is kind of boring when compared to the potential it has with just a few basic mods. it's like a night and day difference in driving experience. so i say, buy and enjoy!

Define daily drive

Ours was daily driven 03 -18ish

422k miles 90% if not more is still original

Stayed stock

Needs a lot of tlc now being never garaged
Paint is shot
Plastic pieces shattered
But still a fun ride

Can't see these ever being 6 digit cars
But owning one now is changing

I'd buy a 99-04 GT if you like the looks of these cars, and mod it. You would be in for a lot less if you plan on daily driving the car. I couldn't imagine daily driving a car that you know is gonna be a collector someday, especially if it only has 500 miles on it. As far as anything being brittle, I bought a 9200 mile car, and didn't find the need to change anything, because I thought it was going to fail. But if you end up buying that car I want to see pictures, a 500 mile Terminator is amazing!!

Was there a reason you picked the one you got vs the redfire with lower mileage?
They both look pretty close in terms of condition. And any issues with it or the dealer?Im really considering making an offer on the redfire.
Yes, the one I picked is a 10th anniversary. ;) No issues with dealer except he advertised the car to be in perfect condition when it clearly wasn't. The dealer didn't drive the car enough to find the engine issue. You can let the car idle for 30 minutes and never hear the tick, but once you drive it for about 10 miles then let it idle it ticks. Tick goes away with more rpm. Having the ford dealer fix the problem. I was quoted 1600 to replace some lifters & rockers on the passanger side head due to leak down from lack of driving. That is the only issue the car had, and I drove the car like 100 miles and then parked it. Nothing leaked.

No problem. I also verified all the numbers with ford before I bought the car. The car is a numbers matching car. Worth buying IMO. It will be fixed soon. =)

So your looking for a collector quality Cobra that you want to daily drive? That's a massive oxymoron.

Are you still looking? I have an 04 Redfire Coupe with about 24k miles on it. Stock Motor. Just lowered and has a Borla Exhaust, 10.5" rims in the back. I still have the stock mufflers and stock rims.
