As a kid that grew up in Brockton I can tell you honestly that he was like a god to us kids. An absolute legend in the city of champions.

I am hearing from people that still knew him and kept in touch with family that he went into the icu after receiving the second corona shot.
I do not know if this is true right now.

Woops. Nothing to see here. Move along. Get your shots like a good cuck. Wear your masks. Two more weeks. Think of grandma.

It won’t kill everyone.

Right away. :(
Yes I've heard rumors that you'll need to have yearly covid shots. And it lowers sperm count. I can see them demanding this for a few years to turn men into submissive bitches. And every so often someone dies. After a few years it's game over and they'll just say sorry we did not know this would happen. I won't be getting a shot because I don't trust the cockroaches and I am doing fine as it is.

He was one of my favorite boxers. Had such a great physique, and presence. Always came across as a stand up great person. If it's true about the vaccine, I didn't see it mentioned in any of the articles I read. Unbelievable on so many levels!

I heard the same. He's had a house in NH since at least the early 80s. It was his getaway place out in the boonies.
He made $19 million in 1987 when he beat suger ray. That was a ton of money back then.
He was the fighter of the decade for the 80’s. A huge accomplishment when you consider the competition.

So when I was in elementary school I played basketball in a league at Hancock school.

We were going on a field trip into Boston to see the Celtics on all different buses and Marvin came to chaperone and our bus was yelling Marvin Marvin Marvin so he came onto the bus and sat right next to me the whole way into Boston. I will never forget it.

His daughter was friends with my sister so my parents knew him pretty well.

After he beat suger ray he moved to Italy and I never saw or heard from him again.

The 80s had so many great boxers. One of the best decades for boxing.
That's a great memory right there with Marvelous beside you on the bus. Pretty cool your family knew him too. I remember that big payday he got but what a lot of people don't know about Marvin was that he was very tight with his cash. He had plenty before that Leonard fight. Promoter Bob Arum had said that Marvin had always saved all his money throughout his career. He had actually wanted to retire after the Hearns fight(he knew he had lost a step) but was persuaded to fight Mugabi. Did you see that fight? It was brutal. The Mugabi fight took a lot out of Marvin. I've watched the Leonard fight a few times. I think it should have been a draw. Even though Leonard landed more punches he ran the whole fight until the last 30 seconds of each round. I followed Marvin on Facebook and every week or so he would post about what he was doing or where he was going. Can't believe he died so suddenly. An all time great.

Truly a great fighter! About the co-vid vaccine- I got my second shot a month ago...and nobody in the entire group had any reaction. In fact I don't know of any reactions in this entire region
