Nice work on the CF wrap.

How difficult is it to get looking right?

Process? Heat gun or? This something a novice can do?

I can’t even remember the last time I wrapped my dick in a condom.

Pretty easy, I had never done it before. I just watched some youtube videos to get an idea of how to go about it. The whole process is just heating and stretching the wrap to get it to lay flat on all the contours and corners. Sharp corners, such as the point at the top of the door sail panels, can be a real pain. Patience is key!

If you are doing multiple pieces, keep in mind the direction of the pattern in the wrap. I tried to get mine to all look like this ////, rising from left to right as viewed from the drivers seat. As seen in the pics, I screwed up on the window switches and will re-wrap them. I also have to redo the steering wheel bezel as a small section keeps lifting. All the other pieces were done in one take and turned out great.

Holy smoke it’s alive! You have done a TON of work on this thing and it’s almost all wrapped up, that’s awesome! What’s left? Tune, hood paint and pressure wash the undercarriage? Then terrorize everything in sight?

The hood looks great. My buddy did the same hood on his supercharged 2020. Funny story, he swears the Cervinis hood is heavier than the stock one…

Pretty sure it is. One of the guys on the FB group weighed them. The factory hood is aluminum.

Also to OP, how’d you throw on the tip. Can’t remember if you’re still on the factory catback or not but if so, did you cut it down and then throw the tip on?

Might need to add that to mine. Thinking about adding a vibrant resonator ahead of the muffler as well to try and kill some of the rasp at higher revs.

Edit: You’re Bryce right??

Yeah that's pretty much it. I'll take it for paint as soon as the tune is done then it'll get a paint correction and PPF.

I weighed them and the Cervini is 43lb and the stocker is 27lb. 2018+ have aluminum hoods (and bodies) so they are super light.

Yes I'm Bryce. The truck still has the factory cat back so it'll be nice and quiet while cruising. To install the tip, I just hacked about 10" off the tail pipe and clamped it on.

Small update. Had some issues to deal with but the truck it ready for data logging. Mother nature had other ideas though, we just got through a 2 day blizzard so there goes another 1-2 weeks till this clears up.

Finally got around to cleaning the undercarriage and boy was it a mess. The frame and cross members were literally full of dirt and gravel! I knew this would be a big messy job so I parked the truck over the floor drain, lifted it up as far as I could with jack stands, removed wheels and went to work.

Round 1. This is just what I could spray off with the hose and pressure washer.

Round 2, starting to clear out the frame.

Some pretty good sized rocks came out...lol.

I made this tool to help get inside the frame. A piece of rubber hose attached to a piece of hard plastic tubing. The undercarriage isn't perfectly clean but it's a lot better. I'll hit it again once the truck is on the road.

Finished installing the audio system. I chose this dual 8" JL Audio CP208LG-W3v3 vented sub box because it fits perfectly behind the seats and can be easily removed should the need arise. It won't bend sheet metal but it sounds great with plenty of thump.

To power everything I used an Alpine PDX-V9 amplifier under the passenger seat. It's rated at 4 x 100w + 500w x 1.

Installed some "bumper shellz" to cover the chrome. I didn't install the center piece yet because it overlaps the other 2 and I want to get PPF applied first.

Rear shell getting installed. Also installed Morimoto LED tail lights.
20210315_224430.jpg

Picked up an STX grille to replace the chrome stocker. Probably just going to leave it off till it's time for PPF.
20210315_224304.jpg

After consulting with On3 Performance, I decided to replace the stock cat-back with something a little more free flowing like this 4" exhaust system from MBRP.
20210414_162155.jpg

4" vs stock 3".
20210414_163046.jpg

No fitment issues, quality seems good. They supply enough pipe to fit even a crew cab long box so I had a few feet left over...lol.

Lots of clearance over the axle. Most guys go with a side exit exhaust but they're crazy loud and I wanted to avoid that as much as possible.

5" tip.

Also mounted up the new 22" Black Rhino Forged wheels. Tires are Toyo Proxes ST 285/40R22. Fitment is perfectly flush and I'm very happy with how they turned out.
