Thanks for sharing OP some really cool stuff. Learned a bunch looking into some of it. Shock fluid was before my time but lead my to this which I thought was interesting. Guys in budget restricted classes doing clever stuff.

Looks like there were shocks/struts you could disassemble up into the later 90s?
It's actually still done today, as your link shows, but usually in racing applications to either try to improved handling for cheap on specific cars. Notice that the second oil replacement in that test effectively doubled the rebound force.

I love seeing vintage stuff like that. There's a facebook page called "Ford Motorsport SVO Racing buy and sell" that is dedicated to vintage Ford products. Its pretty interesting.

Yeah, from what I was reading it works but usually blows the seals in short order.

Some pretty cool old stuff. When I was service manager at our Ford store we had an old guy that did all the new car PDI's. He faithfully used a Ford-branded window slide lube on all the windows. Well, Ford discontinued this stuff and the old tech about lost his shit. Don't see a lot of that type of brand loyalty anymore.
