Nothing currently coyote powered looks as good as that E class does, and you're comparing early 2000 tech to 15 year newer tech.

My point isn’t to put down the E55. They were a beast and comfortable to boot though expensive to repair.

My point is that running 12s used to be a very solid time. Now S550s with ten speeds run in the 9s with boost, fuel, and tires. It’s amazing how far we’ve come in just a short period.

thanks for all the kind words guys, appreciate it. I can never figure out the multi quote feature so ill just list some points.

-someone was thinking about older Mercedes:

youre going to want a M113k car, thats the supercharged 5.4 3v head V8s. the motors are amazingly simple, no VVTs, simple traditional(almost mod motor ford) design and very rock solid. so and "55" badged car from 03-06 and in the SL up to 2008 iirc. the trans are strong ZF autos, the whole car is really overbuilt and very strong.

-yes this isn't as fast as newer cars:

but remember my car is bone stock outside of a cutback which does nothing and runs 12.30/40s on a street tire with no launch and traps 114-118 depending on temps. youre not going to see to many bros at the strip in a coyote car doing that, bone stock on a street tire. with 1k in mods I can make 500whp/600wtq and run mid-low 11s and trap mid 120s. in a 14 year old car. gotta give the ole W211 some credit.

Ill go with some long tubes here soon, they make about 40whp on a stock car, and they are under 1k for a decent set. but really I enjoy its functionality. it runs and drive smoothly, I can take my in laws out to dinner and nobody complains, the air suspension is amazing. im a homer, I love this thing LOL
