Huh? What are you even talking about? Go back and read my response to you and get back on topic, Jr.
I’m on topic bro. Keep up. Same thing that happened to Lund already happened to SCT, VMP, and dozens of others. Again, this is not new.

Pray I don't alter it further

Living in Ri with emission test every 2 years is not so much of a pita because my terminator has no cats, no egr, rear o2's and evap shut off.. So what I need to do to get it to pass is fine..

Working at a ford dealer in Mass that does yearly emission inspections... I'd have to say modifying new cars, diesels and even just tint with the inspection stickers in the last 2 years is a complete shit show now... 4 cameras in inspection bays, manual picture of certain areas of vehicles uploaded to state.. Tuned vehicles get automatic failure and get sent directly to the Mac center with no warning to us until the vehicle is plugged into obd2..

I feel bad because I'm an enthusiast and get why we do this stuff..

Trump 2024 we can only pray

If you use sct, and shit changes, you wont be able to go back and change any emission stuff to make it work.

Based on the EPA link I posted about VMP, it looks like they're most concerned with retaining EGR, which I'd say most of us do. Not turning off the CEL from emissions faults/no cats: these are the 2 that would be the biggest issue for people modding. However, if that's all the length they'll go, I don't see swapping the midpipe and reloading the stock tune or getting a "legal" full emissions tune loaded up every once in awhile that big of a deal. CARB compliant parts are the bigger issue, but most states haven't and hopefully won't adopt that.

My hope is EV actually adopts rather quickly by 2030, and the ICE cars on the road start dropping off big time, then the EPA won't have as much reason to focus on us little guys because the masses are making the big changes towards transportation pollution. Going after 500 guys running catless when 60, 70, 80% of the population has converted to EV will make NO sense. It may even get to a point where states back off completely on all the emissions testing once EV is adopted, that may be a pipe dream but it's logical.
That is a good point. Of course by then they will be regulating anyone charging faster than my 30 year old sears trickle charger due to the load on the grid...

I agree with your post 100% but I must add this to the equation. In your daily commute how many tuned vehicles do you see? I may see 1 for every 300-500 vehicles.

And I bet big government doesn’t think about the good the aftermarket does. They make vehicles more efficient and in most cases if you aren’t romping on it all the time your gas mileage gets better.

Yes, i get it. But you pulled the ol switch erooo.

I was talking about progress made via deregulation when you asserted "everyone is to blame"--which is false, and you pivoted to fines and Lund, and VMP et all. I get all that.

I agree with him.
However IMHO, burn me if you want, but really I wished he wouldn't have:
1) Made the video while driving. It immediately gave me the impression it wasn't that important to him.
2) Never, ever compare driving to the 2nd Amendment.

Not to distract from the seriousness of this thread and the discussion concerning the possible detriment to the future of the car enthusiast passion to modify,; I must point out the absence of otherwise voicetress members in other threads who were quick to defend or not have a hand in opposing the current leadership. We are less then 60 days in and discussing vital oppression to our hobby.
I absolutely appreciate the first amendment and members right to post opposing views ( even if they didn't vote or live in cuckanada ) this is going to affect our hobby. Unless you were never really in it.

CALL IN.....

And others. I'm here as a member pointing out what they support by their absence and silence so far in this topic.

Speak up buttercups!

The scary part is the current administration had ZERO ****s to give shutting a pipeline down that affects millions of people's energy supply. Does anyone seriously think they would give 2 shits about killing off anything associated with ICE? States are literally banning the sales of the emission compliant cars themselves!

Legal votes?

Ha. Biden does not illegal votes to win MN. The last repub to win this state was Nixon. It is the longest unbroken run of democratic presidential win in the country. Biden won by 7%. It was not even a little bit close.

Biden can’t complete a sentence or keeps his hands off little girls. He also can’t answer any open ended questions without a ear piece or teleprompter. His own party is embarrassed of him because of this. This is why Kamala Harris will be president within the next year(she is even more scary than Biden especially with the go green bs)
I pray to god each night to give the leaders of this country guidance. (And to get Trump back in 2024)
