Lol. Ok lil bud. These two posts are so full of shit its hard to even know where to begin.

Feel free to dispute it, I'm all ears. I'm certainly no authority on the matter, but I'm not just making stuff up either.

100%.. it can and has been done.

Wrong.

Trump, EPA Decide On Far Easier Fuel Economy Standards For Automakers.

The Trump administration’s major environmental deregulations

What is the Trump administration’s track record on the environment?

https://www.washingtonpost.com/nati...c30240-13e2-11e7-ada0-1489b735b3a3_story.html

"We're not going to allow the EPA to pick winners and losers."

Long story short... Had we re-elected Trump in 2020, that video above would have not been made by Lund until 2024 or beyond.

It very much matters who is running the country as it pertains to our hobby.
Perhaps you should look into the dozens of companies that were fined in the last 4 years. Ask SCT if it matters who was in the White House.

He's upset because as a retailer he's being punished for what customers do - unlike guns and alcohol (in most cases).

He also understands he's not going to roll back laws and mandates. Rather, just like every other industry, why can't we pay reasonable fines or waivers?

So, rather then trying to cheat a California Emissions Test, just pay a $250 Carbon Tax and by-pass having to do emissions testing.

Or, as he also stated, in many cases a modified mustang with rear deletes, EGR delete and giant blower running E85 has less tailpipe emissions then a stock car... But it's in violation because it's "modified" or won't pass a ready check.

This happens every day, in every industry. In the state of Missouri, I as a dealer are not required nor able to collect a customer's sales tax. They must do it at the DMV. If the customer doesn't do it within 60-90 days, they charge me back the rebates and any employee pricing discounts. To no fault of my own.

"In most cases". Bartenders and bar owners are liable for overserving.

He's most definitely not going to roll back any law or mandate, especially with his 25 minute video.

It wouldn't be $250. I imagine it would be 10x's that, much like the $2,600 Gas Guzzler Tax placed on the MY20/21 GT500.

The ready checks are bullshit, always have been. They should hook up to the pipes and measure for themselves. Any other way of saying if a car passes a smog test or not, is pure bullshit and not accurate.

Proves the point.

Walmart and Bush Beer won't get fined or prosecuted when they let you buy a 24 case of beer.... Which you then start chugging while driving.

But some schlep server at a night club gets blasted for not realizing you are bar hopping on and he served you 3 beers even though you got cut off at another bar. God forbid that bar doesn't catch you walking off with a half drank bottle of beer.

Interesting because in Indiana it is like only 1 or 2 counties that do anything I think. Been here 15 years and never have had to do anything.
Yes, two counties.

Arizona is the same (but it's 80% of our population).

Yellow means by county.

This makes no sense. I can understand them going after tuners for changing the tune to allow removing cats but to go after the guy who installs a supercharger and changes the tune that's just dumb. If you take a 5.0 and put a supercharger on it and tune it there is virtually no difference in emissions vs a factory GT500.

They don't care. If they had their way going from a 245 to 315 tire would be illegal because it will impact the certified fuel consumption.

Sad days for him but happy days for programers who learn to make electric cars faster.

These are the types of laws that make people hate government. I don't justify what the protestors did on Jan 6th but I can understand people's pent up hostility after repeatedly suffering abuse by the hands of government.

If a modified car can't even be driven on private property because it was originally emissions compliant, welp, now time to remove the VIN and any other indication it was ever "emissions compliant".

If there's an age/year cutoff, like exemptions for pre 1973 vehicles or something, welp, time to swap my 08 GT500 drivetrain motor into a 69 shell.

If it's basic emissions testing annual or once or whatever, and it's crazy precise (where they won't even pass you if the PCM has EVER been touched), welp, time to find a donor car, pull out the PCM/stock blower/fuel system etc. throw it on for the "test", then swap all your shit back on after it passes.

100%

Huh? What are you even talking about? Go back and read my response to you and get back on topic, Jr.

Every day we’re seeing new legislation aimed at stripping our freedoms. Voting can only go so far when there are too many people who get their feelings hurt and turn a blind eye to election fraud. America as most of us on this forum know and love (excluding a few commies) is disintegrating right in front of our eyes sadly. I really wish it wasn’t the case but hopefully we can start clawing back in 2022.

As the OEM car manufacture's go full retard with this green revolution, and continue the hard push towards proprietary software and connecting to every vehicle on the road via OTAU, things will get even more challenging for this industry. There will always be an tuning underground, but it will even more tiny than it already is.

In 10 yrs, we'll all be tuning our electricmobile's.

ADEQ: VEC Address Locator

If you live in the 2 pink areas, you test every 2 for light duty. Anything over 8K gvwr gets test on the rollers every year regardless of OBD.

Outside of the pink areas? No testing of any sort. All it takes is 1 Acre and a mailbox on the property....

:D :D :D
