Old muscle cars with blowers and zoomies are still bad ****ing ass. I always dreamed of throwing a 6-71 on my Cutlass, but I don't know if I have the heart to do it. The wagon on the other hand, maybe that would be fair game. The hood is already a little bent...

Meanwhile, me if I don't see broad daylight through my fingerjoints/dovetails-

Steam locomotives are pretty neat. It's incredible what they could do for their time and technology, and so much maintenance that goes into them. I got to see a couple relatively small ones when I was growing up pretty frequently. It certainly did feel like a trip back in time the way they were covered in soot, smelled of oil and creosote, and huffed their way down the tracks. You can still ride in them and look at them in action up close to this day if you're in SW NY. They're old 10's and 20's technology, nowhere near the beasts of the sunset of the steam age, but still great to see in action.

Is that SD40-2 picture recent or when they were new back in the 70s? The old EMDs, especially the supercharged ones, had a real unique sound to them when you would hear those old two strokes notch up. The local railway runs several of them through town.
