I got stopped last night by a NJ cop on my way to Tennessee and he told me that with the new attorney general and governor that cops will no longer be able to tell ppl on MV stops to exit the vehicle.

I was telling him how we cant ask consent to search someones car now but his shit blew me away.

Like they can just say no. Even if they have a warrant he says. U just write another warrant smfh. He is such a snowflake ******. How do NJ residents put someone like that in office?

Their anti-Police tactics will get good people killed in the name of BLM.

should just be sold as a pack and taxed already for **** sake. At least states would benefit. But no, we fight it, and waste tax dollars on "criminalization of marijuana" . Meanwhile opiate pills cause "no addiction". what a ****ing joke.

So explain why you think this it a bad thing?

I dont see the need to be able to ask to search someone vehicle.

I also dont see the need ask anyone to exit a vehicle on a MV stop.

If a crime has not been committed there is no reason to for either of these. Alot of times those 2 things have violated people's right. That is why more more departments are removing them, along with alot officer/departments misuse of those 2 situations.

CA taxes the shit out of it. There's a 15% excise tax on it plus the usual 10% sales tax. I smoked daily for 35 years and quit this time last year. Smoked once at a party in Oct. Funny, don't really miss it.

So does that mean you can pack your car with whatever gun you want now?

Why is that bad cause drug dealers transport illegal narcotics and often think that no one will ever find their drugs or money and when a drug interdiction Cop asks if anything is in the vehicle they always say no. The cop then asks if he can consent to search his vehicle.

He can surely say no but the fact is they think they are slick and believe the Cop will never find what he has hidden. Again, absent any Probable Cause to search he simply cant and the criminal can surely say no to the search but the human brain thinks if he allows the Cop to search he will be good cause he wont find anything.

Some of the most successful Cops in drug interdiction history got nearly ALL of they're seizures when simply asking, NOT demanding to search.

When a Police officer asks u to exit the vehicle u have no choice! That is US Supreme Court LAW! U.S. Supreme Court has repeatedly and unequivocally held that officers may order the driver and any passengers to get out of the car until the traffic stop is over (Maryland v. Wilson, 519 U.S. 408 (1997); Pennsylvania v. Mimms, 434 U.S. 106 (1977).

When Cops ask ppl to exit vehicles and they have contraband on them they are gonna act a lot different than normal and usually try to conceal their contraband inside the car before they exit or RUN when the exit so there is a very good need to take ppl out of the car.

Honestly, down south they do it all the time on MV stops but up north its almost never done unless a cover car is there.

Those two things have NEVER violated anyones rights ever. They are both perfectly legal and used every day in LE. How NJ would get around that I have no idea.

It would only be a violation NOW if a Cop in CT asks someone to search their vehicle but surely not EXIT the vehicle which will always be legal unless the US Supreme Court changes that. Before it was perfectly legal as it is in EVERY other state so ur comment on being illegal is way off bro. Not even close.

These new rules stem from snowflakes and BLW NOT from Cops violating rights. These are just little things snowflake liberal put into law to protect THEMSELVES and their FRIENDS and FAMILY members make no mistake about that!

So explain why you think this it a bad thing?

IDN but I do know getting a gun carry permit in NJ is dam near impossible in certain counties.

Like Chicago which has really strict gun laws NJ is riddled with gun crime as well so this whole "Gun Control" thing is nothing but snowflakes thinking its actually gonna reduce crime and gun violence. It hasn't and never will.

So does that mean you can pack your car with whatever gun you want now?

The fact there there are very few state to state reciprocities precludes that you cannot normally carry a gun through other states. If ALL states didn't allow cops to search your vehicle or ask you to leave your vehicle, then it would seem you COULD carry a gun through all states without "issue". That likely won't happen, though, or not any time soon. So it will continue to be a confusing mess. JMO.

Does NJ allow it to be grown at home as well?
They’re working on that bill next now that the legalization passed

it’s impossible in the entire state. Only under certain circumstances can you carry besides being LEO. AND if you get denied carry in NJ you’re now denied country wide IIRC
