Yea... Too bad the Focus RS was riddled with issues when driven hard. That was otherwise a great car.

Man as much as I hate to say it, and this is coming from a focus ST owner who very much considered an RS, the civic/type r build quality is light years ahead of ford, especially in the interior. I feel like in 15 or 20 years you will find a type r in great shape that still drives like new, but even a low mileage RS will squeak and rattle like hell.

I agree, I have a 2015 ST and a 2001 S2000 and the S2000 is nicer and built far better

Meh. All of the Civic Type Rs here overheat on the track and need significant cooling modifications to last 10 minutes, let alone a full 20min session.

I saw a Youtube video where a guy with a TRX filled his with gas. Not sure how low on fuel it was, but it was about 24.5 gallons of fuel @ 2.49 to fill it up. He was in a snowy climate, so not sure where that was, especially with 2.49 a gallon?? I use Mobil premium and it's at 3.49 a gallon around here in MA.
Anyways, with that much fuel at the 2.49 a gallon cost, it was almost 55 bucks. lol
Imagine going to the gas station every other day or 2 days with that pig??!!? I'm sure that thing is sucking down the gas like it's going out of style. That's crazy.
But, I guess if you can afford a beast like that, you can definitely afford to put gas in it.

that can’t be right , my Raptor cost just over $100 to fill up from when the light is on ( typically 2.5 gallons is left when the light comes on ).

Everybody keeps saying “ well you can afford the gas if you buy the truck” but it’s not about the money, it’s the convenience. I had a daily driver that got 7-9mpg and tho it was fun and I could afford the gas it did get old filling up every other day

I'll see if I can find the video. Maybe I was wrong with the numbers. I'll post it up when I find it.

My last daily driver was a gas guzzler as well. About 9 - 10mpg. I didn't really have to drive too far to work, but I did feel the pinch when the gas prices went up insanely. That was a great truck!

Go to the 4:15 mark. I was correct about the price. About 55 bucks. That's at 2.49 a gallon. Imagine at 3.49 a gallon and climbing?!? o_O  o_O

@03Sssnake

that wasn’t why I posted the vid because of the truck breaking but yea sucks that it happen doing so little. But he posted another vid saying it was a trans fluid line and ram sent a “ special tech” to inspect everything and ram will have a new transmission sent to him in a couple days.

But my point of posting the view is all the idiots in this thread and other saying “ of the TRX is king now because it has a 702hp SC V8 , weight over the front doesn’t matter derp derp” and he shows in the vid that he holds high speed in the Ecoboost because the TRX suspension can’t keep up with the weight of the truck and the motor.

oh I got your point... I don’t off-road therefore I don’t give two shits about truck weight distribution etc... I just found it comical this uber hellcat ram broke with very little effort.

LOL
Same here. Could give two ****s about jumping or racing the dunes in a 4X4 or weight distribution. The TRX is KING on pavement. Beast.
Can't wait for the supercharged Predator Raptor. Gonna be nasty.

How about the wing in 20 years? Hopefully someone has stolen that by then. The only time that wing would be functional on the civic is if you pushed it off a cliff.

Lol....that statement is an oxymoron. The TRX is king of the pavement in a segment of trucks that is about off roading hahaha ummm ok

So you would take 3 muscle cars built for straight line and say the best one is that laps button willow the fastest?

I don't what to tell ya brah. All the videos I see of the TRX, it's beating trucks in a straight line. Even MODDED trucks!!! LMFAO Have you seen any?? Youtube.
A stock Hellcat will stomp a stock Mustang on the drag strip, no??

You keep bringing up off road. You think more people off road than street race?? Serious question.

as much as i like the fact they dropped the hellcat v8 in a truck they sure used an ugly duckling. These things dont look like $80k trucks. Looks exactly like the watered down ram rebels i see everyday with flares and cheap black rims.

im also bothered that you cant switch to 2wd and do a long smoky burnout. Am i the only one?

as crazy as it sounds, id rather have ram 2500 limited with cummins than the trx. Much more luxury and way better towing capability. Can am maverick or polaris rzr on those weekends where i need to get my off road jollies off

Yup TRX already can't handle a small trail.

Big brother had to save him

Transmission broke Ram is covering all warranty work to keep good PR.

Bad Optics: Ram TRX Blows Transmission, Saved By Friendly Ford Raptor

That's a click bait title

it would be the same thing as if the title said "blew the engine on my GT500" and then when we opened it up, it talked about how he forgot to tighten the oil filter and all the oil ran out of the engine and then the engine blew up. He broke a high pressure, which drained the tranny by dumping all the fluid on the ground. If he had noticed the tranny fluid dumping on the ground immediately he wouldn't have blown the transmission.
