So it had a 2.76 upper and 2lb lower previously? And those were swapped to factory sized pullies? Caged lower? Were you seeing 8psi on a boost gauge to verify?

yessir factory size pullies upper & lower, did verify 8 psi with stock boost gauge would peg under 10 lbs.

Looks like that shitty California gas got you
you may be right, shitty part is i have a state ref appointment march 1st to get this ****er into my name finally since its been down with engine issues since i bought it. With it all back to stock i thought it was good to go but apparently not, if it was due to fuel or leaning wouldnt the plug strip go first?
I just feel maybe the cylinder wasnt cleaned up enough? you can see lines and what looks like specks in the cylinder wall in the pictures above.

Did you pull the valve cover off? It honestly looks like little pieces of metal were banging around the top of that cylinder. I thought all the pistons looked like that, that would be more indicative of bad gas.

have not yet, but im thinking something dropped into that cylinder idk, also could possibly be part of a piston ring maybe they didint clean up the cylinder correctly or check clearances idk.

Maybe that little chunk of whatever on the right is what’s doing it.

I thought maybe that was melted piston but maybe not. Usually it would melt down.

150-142 isn’t far off.

See if you can get that piece of whatever out of there

Unfortunately you’re going to have to tear this motor apart. Who built it for you?

Best built motor won't stand up to a bad tune and/or fuel.
