They have great inventory but try buying one of their cars at those prices. They are one of those dealers that advertise a price that only those in the Realtors of America association who are also Astronauts that recently graduated qualify for. And they have $1500 Dealer Doc fees and $595 prep fees.

Even with their fee's, they must be beating the competition, that inventory has to turn.

They are semi local to me and freaking huge. I tried buying from them a few times as they do have all the options and colors. The last time was a '19 F150 Limited because they were advertised for almost the same as my local dealer was selling me my Platinum and they had a color other than white or black. But by the time they added back on their fees and I got the real price they were the same as my dealer's Limited.

And seeing good ole Krystal Koons on the TV commercials week after week makes me want to punch a nun. Her whole family is a bunch of crooks and has they have been called on it multiple times on Fox 5 news for the predatory sales tactics(especially with older people). They also sell some shady ass used cars from their dealerships. Had to fix a few that 100% would NEVER pass Maryland State Inspection but sure as shit it was sold with a sticker.

Koons has been in business for my entire life, in the DC area. Only bought one truck from them, but my pop bought fleets of trucks from them in the old days.

All the Jeep guys seem to think Koons is the best place to get a deal.

I find this whole dealer a is a shitty dealer and known for xyz. Dealer b is awesome. You can look around at various forums and get completely different opinions. I've purchased from several dealers and had varying results. I've worked with salesmen who are praised and have great reviews who were horrible. Showing no value of my time, wasting time looking where I told them I looked, not replying to emails, taking people's social security numbers and work info 3 feet from me where I can hear it all etc etc. An overall reputation does mean something to a point. But your overall experience can very easily differ from the concensus or average. IMHO, I don't feel there there is a dealer out there that runs 100 percent on the up ant up and not take advantage of someone at sometime. Money is on the line so often doing what is right is not always priority #1. Just my perspective from a regular guy based of my personal experiences.

My own thought is that if you halfway have your shit together and walk into this dealership wanting a Challenger, you are gonna drive out in the exact challenger you want at a fair price to both. The dealership doesn't get bonus points for looking at a lot of unsold inventory.

Could you imagine walking onto a lot with every color and trim of eco, GT and GT500 !?! My local Ford dealer currently has ZERO mustangs on the lot.

The BS dealer doc and processing fees make my head spin. Overhead is overhead . . . it's just a way to bury some of it in the fine print and away from the advertised price. And dealers are increasing those fees more and more.

It gets particularly shady when the advertised price has pulled out the destination fee that is already on the window sticker, only to add it back in the fine print.

Predatory volume dealer. So big now they can command a healthy amount of factory production, then use it to maximize profits if they have lots of color and builds.

Then you have Brandon Ford in Tampa battling with Galpin Ford in LA for undisputed #1 volume Ford dealer in the world. Everyone wins in that scenario.

I know the guys that run both stores. Galpin is on the way out. They're killer GM left about a year ago and has moved to another store.

Not everyone wins though. Unfortunately, it leads to more BS advertising and just trying to play the numbers game of getting as many people in the doors as possible.

Bah, anyone with a clue knows how they roll and everyone and their mother gets trained to only look at the out the door price. The people that get the best deals are the ones that stay relentlessly polite and focused on why they are there. If the dealer stays polite and keeps the transaction enjoyable, the deal is there to be found.

Even if a guy went in stone cold not knowing anything about how these guys operate, it wouldn't matter if you stay calm and negotiate. The bottom line is that there is NO DEAL unless the customer says there is.

If "everyone" knew it, they wouldn't do it. It's a bait and switch routine, plain and simple. Doesn't matter if some of us can see through it.

I would imagine they are the #1 Challenger dealer in the country, if they made purchasing from them unpleasant and expensive, they wouldn't be, it's that simple.

I don't necessarily agree with that.

I don't necessarily agree with that.

They must custom order a bunch, and not aware of anyone else with their crazy lot inventory. CA guys are moaning that Koons won't sell to them and they definitely have a presence on the Dodge Challenger forums. But, you could persuade me otherwise :)
