I want an EC also!

Most solar installations have batteries and snow generally slides off on it of solar panels on its own. The panels will also heat up enough to melt any residual snow. That's why you'll see snow covered roofs with clean solar panels. If anything snow is good for the panels because it cleans them as they heat up and melt the snow. Really not an issue. Many stations have back up generators to power the pumps.
Your solar panels aren't going to do shit in overcast snowy conditions and you'll be up on your roof dusting them off.
This week in liberalism changing things that arent broken.I'm still waiting for the answer to this, "WHY" must fossil fuels be phased out?
I agree. I saw the writing on the wall for Trump last summer and I'm guessing Biden's presidency will drive the price so I started research and shopping to make the move to EV as I spend just shy of $500 a month on gas and it will get worse once my son starts school. It was pretty clear that a PHEV was the more versatile choice.PHEVs are the way to go and this proves why.
OPTIONS
I can charge mine for 44miles full EV or just drive as a 40mpg suv with 300hp and 14.5 gallon tank and never charge it.
Technology is going to have to evolve quickly to tackle this issue and more before the country commits to go solid Green. This wind turbine freeze issue with Arctic temps killing a majority of their electric grid is just one that illustrates that all is not golden with alternative energy sources.
We should not blindly oppose progress, but we do need to be opposed to blind progress.
Progressives and the current White House administration are pushing blindly forward with a Progressive agenda. That is dangerous for our country. And just one example of blind leadership. JMO.
This, solar (and wind) is a joke compared to nuclearThorium nuclear power plants augmented with *green* energy would be our best bet.
Unless you have barrels of gas, pumps at the gas station need electricity to be able to pump the gas out of the underground tank.
The ideal setup is to have solar panels to draw power from the sun, use that to charge your car. Gas requires supply lines to constantly replenish (talking about gas stations).
I hope they realized by now they are just wasting their time.

Print more money, problem solved.Nuclear ? GA spent billions of taxpayer money on two plants that after 20 years still are not up...SC gave up on it costly nuclear venture and left taxpayers billions in the hole
I haven't left my house since covid began. /sLol you dont get out much do you. Most have back up generators. You should know you live in Ca

Something tells me that there has to be preventive maintenance issues with the affected wind mills.... Wrong lubrication, maintenance periodicity is wrong, etc... In other words, human error and not a system design flaw/failure.

Frozen turbines were still an issue for the state, because it was unprepared for the winter ice and snow. Turbines can be “winterized,” or made snow-ready, given that wind turbines have been operating in regions like Antarctica. Experts pointed out that many of Texas’ power generators, including natural gas plants and wind turbines, have not made the necessary upgrades to be ready for such conditions.
Were Frozen Wind Turbines in Texas a Major Factor in Power Outages?

Sorry to break it to you but it is. Frameless panels sheet off snow well and will generally run 20* hotter than the ambient temperature. Light also diffuses through lighter snow falls and still generates electricity at a reduced capacity. No, none of this is true.
