Yeah, 15+ requires a pcm unlock, but we have some cool options.
You can buy a basic tuner that includes the swap. Submit the swap form, we send you an unlocked pcm and give you 2 weeks to install it and return the core. Once the unlocked pcm is in, you can tune away. No downtime, under $530.

Killing the MDS permanently will extend the life of that paid off motor!!
How much is the core charge if you don't return it?

Just giving you crap. I briefly owned a 2020 GT500 that I received in a trade deal. I wanted to find out about the car and enjoyed the banter I found here. As I said previously, nice car, well executed, but not my choice of vehicle. Recently sold the GT, which was a base model. But who knows might end up with a CFTP car along the way. No offense meant in my tongue in cheek responses.
Dude, dish it all you want here. The weak fall away and the strong stick around. You sound like a car guy. If you can only afford 1 car or a dozen, everyone is welcome here. :D

That is seriously stupid money. My TRX listed for about 80k, and that is what I will pay. ADM is not even a consideration on my part.

I don’t blame you but if you lived round here you would pay or the next person would. Too much money being thrown around here to dealership to worry about the guy saying “msrp or I’ll walk” .

One of the biggest mark ups I witnessed was a guy in the San Francisco area paying 150k for a 90k sticker GT500 when they first came out. Supposedly it was the first land in Cali and he wanted to be the first with one.

well he is texting a guy that lives in arkansas, so obviously the cali folk aren't lining up to pay 50k over. when these things are not hard to find elsewhere for MSRP, i don't get paying the local dealer over for it...much less THAT much over. (as you might've guessed, i don't have **** you money)

Wow. I guess thats the difference between living in the sticks as compared to a metro area. I guess it is all relative. If a guy is pulling down 1.5 mill or more a year, what's 20 or 50k to him? Not much. When I grow up and win the lottery I will be in that league. Not so much currently. Thanks for your insight.

You’re right there is a HUGE advantage to living in in a rural area being a American car buyer. Most of the time dealerships are much easier to work with .

When I was shopping for a Raptor I was very close to buying out of stand because most dealerships were selling them at invoice while here in Cali they were selling for 5-15k mark up and would treat you like they were doing you a favor if they “ pulled some strings” and were able to sell you one at msrp.

Yeah, but there is a -30 windchill here. That does make your state rather appealing at the moment!

Yea see I know it’s cheaper to live there and then u tell me that and I’m like.....

You guys want a huge laugh about ADM we have a 2021 yellow special edition civic type r in my showroom with right with a 20k markup on it.

They probably wont get $20k over, but theyll sell it for an ADM. That car is hot and limited edition. Don't know if it's worth $60k, but a special car nonetheless that will have value in the future.

A low mile, unmolested EJ Civic Si will pull close to $50k right now, today.

Saw a Civic Type R yesterday on the way home from work. I actually like them. Pretty nasty looking machine.

Surprisingly I do think they'll get what they are asking. The last one we sold was that new blue color (not limited edition) and we sold that one for 15k over sticker.

I do think looking at the older integra type r and the like it's possible these will hold a strong value if well kept and low mileage. They are actually great cars to drive and I don't mind the looks except for the rear I'm not a huge fan of.

On of our techs got a red one back when they came out and his employee discount meant he got to buy it just a tick under sticker, he kept it for almost 2 years and sold it for more than he paid for it.

I think they're ugly as sin, drove one on track though and it blew my mind considering its a fwd civic.

This. Honestly if they weren’t so butt ugly I’d have one right now. I think they’re sweet cars but can’t get past the looks.
