On a stock factory block, those liners wont take boost for very long. GM didnt leave a lot of power on the table with them. The block is strong with new dry liners.

Steve at Race Engine Development quoted me $2200 for dry sleeves on a Gen 4 LS Alum block (LS2/LS3/LS7). Didnt recommend MID for this application. Capable of well over 1000 hp, but recommended max displacement of 434 CI if planning on boost. 427 with a 4.125 bore and 4.0" stroke leaves you a few repair bores of .030" each.

I wanted to know if jumping to a Vette LS platform (LS3) would be worth it. It is. The same job on my GT500 block was at least $1K more. The LS7 is a bit of a different beast, but at 427 CI it looks like new sleeves make this an absolute terror with boost.

Did you get a Z06?

Beautiful!

You've heard the answers over and over: the LS7 is not great for boost in factory form. All of this can be fixed, but if you cut corners while "going big", you will be on borrowed time until it pops.

How much are you making with the current setup? I, personally, would go with a bigger NA build and make the car as light as possible. Hitting over 600whp, with a lot of power under the curve, is very achievable NA with an LS7 and relatively simple mods.

Do you have goals for peak power, trap speeds or 1/4 times?

Agree on all. Currently 580whp on pump. I agree on a stroker/mega heads combo. ~700-800 whp would be my goal. I know that it is a pussy move but I think a centri at very low boost would put me in the same zip code. Alternatively, mega heads and e85 should put my 625-650.

Beautiful car dude! Add the flexfuel sensor to your car and have it enabled in the tune to make your life easy. Something Ford dropped the ball on. Bigly.

Keep in mind, your car has Hypereutectic pistons (upgraded cast) and titanium rods which sound great, but under boost and RPM will eventually stretch and get brittle.

Sleeved block, forged pistons, forged rods and a DragonSlayer crank from Callies should be 6K-ish and be good to probably 1600rwhp. With a Centri, you could hand the keys to you grandma and have the car drive easily.. until you bury your foot.

If you just keep it H/C/I you still will gap most people who come to flex with your 3100lb curb weight. A built shortblock and boost will make you the head manager at Gapplebee's.

Im super excited about picking up a C6 later this year.. its too easy to make power with the LS... a lesson it took me a long time to learn unfortunately.
