I have a crazy obsession with Adams products. I have literally buckets of products of theirs. I have a friend who works for them. Hes the one who did the detail on my car at Ford Nationals at the adams tent.

The Adams spray coating will not adhere to the Colly 845. It would be a waste of product and time.

That's a score for $3!!!

I think I might jump on the train and try 845. Pretty cheap stuff and seems hard to beat. Have to do some searching on a topper for it.

845 is a good product.

We corrected and hit my wifes Cessna with it some years back. Made the bugs much easier to remove and helped with keeping the paint from fading so bad again.

^^^Yep. I do. Used their 3.0 version, and only have a little left. Good stuff. Easy to use, very slick, nice properties and longevity.

And I just used their Si02 version not that long ago...I'm a fan, but waiting to see what my durability it with it. UBER SLICK!!

Did you use just this or did you add a topper. Seems like a good product on its own without some sort of wax topper or drying agent

Any idea how the Wolfgang compares to Girot's Ceramic 3-in-1 wax? I bought a bottle of the Girot's but have not tried it yet.

I'll be doing a paint enhancement/correction on my car this weekend along with a ceramic coat from waxedshine. I'll update this thread or make a new post next week.

I have been trying to find a replacement for Collonite 845 for many, many years and havent been able to. Its not that I dont like the stuff I just cant believe that given its age nothing short of a full ceramic coat can touch it. It really is amazing stuff, easy to use, extremely durable, looks great on paint, can be used on plastic/glass and easily lasts for 6 months. I just keep it topped with some kind of a drying aide LSP, currently thats TW Hybrid Ceramic Wet Wax and its been chugging on just fine with the NE Ohio winter.

Like you I enjoy detailing my cars and dont mind waxing a few times a year. I had a ceramic coat done on my SB Cobra and while its great I think I enjoy the paint correction more than the coat. Plus if anything goes wrong with the ceramic coat (shopping cart, asshole in parking lot) you cant just remove it with Dawn dish soap and recoat. You need a DA polisher at the minimum to remove it. Then if its not a consumer grade coat you have to go back to the vendor to do all of that work and hopefully not pay again to get it fixxed. If I had to do it all over again I would have just stuck with the paint correction and skipped the ceramic coat.
Have you used 845 on black paint? If so, how did it turn out?

Just the sealant as a stand alone.

oldstv, I don't have any experience with the Griot's offering.
I just got a bottle of Wolfgangs 3.0 sealant. Found a good deal on it while I was looking for 845. Going to give WG a try and see how it turns out on my black car/bike. Nothing but good reviews using it as a stand alone. I might mess around with drying agents on top of it and see what I come up with.

I wish I had taken pictures of before and after but I didn't. I finally did a small correction on my bike, it wasn't to bad at all. Just a few scratches from my pants rubbing the tank and bugs ect.. Anyhow I applied the Wolfgangs 3.0 and I am in aww. It shines so deep on the black paint and is as slick as oiled up sheet metal. I could have sworn somebody came into my garage while I was out and applied 6 coats of wax. I am so far please with this product. I just added some Adams Ceramic boost to see if it helps as a drying agent. Time will tell.
