No way this is true!
Fluffing up the TRX big time here. (I didn't watch the video, just scanned for the good parts. Even the "good parts" are mehhh. Seems fake to me. Vehicles weren't really moving out it seemed.)

The worlds greatest drag race form Motortrend is a better example. The TRX gets raped, as it should. That was a no brainer outcome to me on a frozen dusty road running to 60

Yeah, they proved in the very beginning of the video that the GT500 would lose cracking off 5 second 0-60s on their road. Short track with one car not getting traction is not going to bode well for that car.

And in reality it doesn't matter. The GT is a great car. The TRX currently is top dog in the world of trucks. I highly doubt the people who will buy one are cross shopping the other.

It takes the GT500 off the line and that is all that is needed to win a race on their short strip that I doesn't look longer than 150 meters.
I think all they were highlighting was what would happen from a traffic light on the street with a quick hit. Not a shocking outcome but I think we all know once the gt500 hooks it’s gone. It’s like the old Prius beating a Ferrari to 60mph lol

Yes the TRX is in AWD at all times, it’s one of the few negatives about it from the reviews I’ve seen.

WOW!
That thing must sucks down gas like CRAZY!!! Is there a gas guzzler tax on it?? Which is a bullshit tax, IMHO. It's more a "penalty" as I see it.
The Hellcat engine already sucks down gas, but put in a vehicle of that weight and add AWD at all times?? HOLY SMOKES!!!

How is it being viewed as a negative other than worse fuel economy? Traction all the time doesn’t sound like a bad thing. I was worried when it first came out that it was just going to be a burn out machine.

9 mpg I would say is realistic if you make the supercharger sing. But if you can afford a 100k truck, you can afford the frequent $100 fillups.

Big time, I agree.

I would say even less than 9mpg. Maybe 7 or 8. lol
My '05 Ram Daytona rcsb would get pretty shitty gas mileage, probably 10 or 11mpg. Not complaining, just mentioning it for reference.

You like the 3.5?

I do and so do almost anybody who has driven one. The only ppl that dont are the "derp derp I want a V8 because it's a truck" guys or ppl that have has issues with the earlier production trucks pre mid refresh 2018 like @DriftwoodSVT had. There is not a single reliability issue since mid 2018 and I imagine with a the Gen 3 it will only be better

The 3.5 has more hp and tq than any V8 except the brand new trx so now ppl are saying how underpowered the 3.5 is but it was making more power than any V8 including the all mighty 7.3

Since I personally use the truck for more of what is was designed for and not a Starbucks stoplight to stoplight race like most in this thread I would prefer the Gen 3 for its superior suspension, 37 tire option and it being the lighter truck overall TRX. Power is the easiest part of the entire equation to add to and it have already shown what s simple tune would do.

Now my ideal Gen 3 raptor would be a NA 7.3 making 600hp and 650tq as that was already proven at that HP level on 35 tire it is even or ahead of a TRX ( that was the point @Diablo Mike missed in my previous post). Of course all the ignorant and pavement pounders will say the Raptor R needs a SC V8 to make more hp to be the better truck and at that I just laugh at ignorance
