So how does that work? Could I import an R34 to Canada now, then once its established registered, could I import it to the USA? Or would it still fall under the 25 year law?
Yes, you can import it into Canada and just store in Canada until it is legal.

Kinda wish I bought a R34 GTR when they were $35k but I drove one and I thought it was over priced for how it drove.

@13COBRA I forgot to add, the R34 GTR prices jumped 65k(to around 140k now for a clean example) in price within the last year. They are way wayyyyyy too much now. I looked into importing one last year before the price hike and it was around 80k USD for an excellent condition one.

i read an article a couple of years ago they were already reaching $100k as people were already buying them and storing them in Japan. there are businesses set up to do this specifically for people. some people had already been storing them for years lol. just waiting......

id take a new gt500 or a c7z all day long over one of these.

To say my buddys R32 GTR was underwhelming was an understatement. I felt it was worth the money he paid 8 years ago but 54k usd... **** no. The FD's and S2k's were way better value imo

I drove a Supra the same day and thought it was way better. The R34 GTRs are pretty expensive to modify too...as in retarded expensive.

I don't know exactly how all the import stuff works, we had a guy in town that had one just like that when I was in high-school so we are talking 04-05. Of course in that time with fast and furious the guy was a douche but every car guy in town worshipped him.

Not sure what happened I heard that car got taken away or something a couple years after.

4 or 5 years ago a buddy of mine sent me pictures of a r34 that was at a shop he used to hang out at. Only one of those I've seen around. I do see some older ones every now and then.

R32s are a dime a dozen here but most are in shit condition, not like in the OP, and you'll see tons of GTSs and GTS-Ts because kids around here think that just having a Skyline is all that matters. You go to any car show though and you will see the really nice ones and even some R33s and R34s. The one I'm wanting to pick up that I have seen for sale in the area is the Lancia Delta Integrale Evo which a good chunk of the Evo models were initially exported to Japan so they are now making their way to the states. They go for around 30-40k in decent condition and I guarantee they are going to be a huge collector car in the future.

lol, left hand shifting does not compute in my head.
Me, too. There is no way I'd be smooth out of the gate shifting with my left hand. I'd adjust over time, of course, but it would be like using a left-handed mouse with my computer. LOL.
