Alright, in case this hasn't been discussed, but I'm sure it has somewhere. The point of GME is that they were so massively over-shorted that they had to squeeze, blah blah blah, by know you know what it is. AMC is not the same, yes it is over shorted, but not to the extent of 140% (now 119%).

The point Reddit folks are trying to make is that if you buy and hold the demand will be so far greater than the overall supply of stock. The price will go up. But once the demand lessens, the price will go down.

The point isn't to make money, know that if you are putting money in, you are gambling and it's likely it might not do what you think it will.

If you plan on buying, you should hold indefinitely, whether it's at $10000 or $0. That way these hedge funds burn because they will never be able to buy back the stock they shorted.

...all that being said, I bought a handful of shares and will hold forever.

AMC is not the next GME, GME is the next GME.

I'm sitting by with my popcorn waiting to see all of the politicians that suddenly need to "protect" these poor innocent hedge funds. This may lead to more political upheaval than financial.

I think amc is worth it if it dips to 10 or under, but I'd be beyond shocked if it even did remotely what gme has.

Remember when Obama bailed out Wallstreet? Dont be surprised if biden does the same for the hedge funds.

Signed on October 3, 2008, by President George W. Bush, TARP allowed the Department of the Treasury to pump money into failing banks and other businesses by purchasing assets and equity. The idea was to stabilize the market, relieve consumer debt and bolster the auto industry

I bought in for 50 shares. I'm certainly doubtful it sky rockets but if I can double my money I am probably out. Personally I just look at it as getting a little money back from what I lost purchasing AMC the first round back in March. Sold it for a loss because well it seemed to be on its way out.....
