Speaking of Bitcoin, I read this article yesterday. I know it's from 2013, but man, how do you handle a disaster like this. He threw out a hard drive that contained his Bitcoin key. At the time, the Bitcoins value was $7.5 mil!!! Gone! In 2017 the value jumped to $171 mil. It's worth even more now, and he's offering his town a 25% reward (Covid Relief) if they help him find it. So far, it's still a no-go.

All depends what price target you go by. anywhere from 100k to 300k to 500k to over a million long term. It does make it sound like 100k is much more likely (greater chance) when you hear more and more 6 figure predictions. I put more into eth than btc thinking the gains from eth would be bigger than btc at this point. Still thinking it will. ETH needs to go to 20k for around 18x gains where btc needs to hit over 600k for those gains. Key is where you bought in.

Surely the biggest criminal activity is coming from the Fed. Printing trillions of counterfeit money goes unpunished.

Top Democrat Proposes Annual Tax on Unrealized Capital Gains

Yellen hearing held at Finance Committee; 1/21 Floor vote eyed

Ranking member Ron Wyden (D-OR) said his top economic priority is avoiding the mistake Congress made in the last recession, which is "taking a foot off the gas pedal" — not doing enough to help the economy in 2009 and prolonging a recovery. He said the good news is Yellen knows that going small on coronavirus relief would be a big mistake. Wyden further said there must be an effort to fix the "broken down, dysfunctional tax code," starting with the proposition that corporations and the wealthy must pay their fair share and considering that the 2017 Tax Cuts & Jobs Act (TCJA) caused some jobs to be shipped overseas. He referenced his mark-to-market proposal, under which capital gains income would be taxed at the same rates as wage income and applicable taxpayers would be taxed annually on unrealized gains. Revenue raised from the proposal, Wyden said, would go toward shoring up the finances of the Social Security program. Wyden said trade policies under the outgoing Administration drove away allies and said concerns about currency manipulation by other nations linger.

I have to ask, do most that play the alt coins lean left or right? Someone said something here that has been in the back of my head since Yellen lost her power a few years ago. She cannot control altcoins and will most likely do everything in her power to kill them. That seemed apparent. She has a lot more power now than she ever had before. Anything digital can be made illegal overnight. Or just worthless as they could prohibit legal payments with non dollars. Maybe it just goes to me not trusting the government, but it seems we as a country just put the fox in the henhouse.
