I'm a fan of this. Colt quality is not better than any of the top AR manufacturers. They lost their way to contracts and the militsrt industrial complex. Colt is where former Pentagon Brass went for a cushy job when they retired from the military.

Truth be told I'd prefer an all-American company to acquire them, but I've got nothing against CZ. Sides, their women are smoking hot...

thats my sentiment, nothing wrong with CZ, but hate to see Colt foreign owned.

CZ wants in on that military contract biz and it sounds like this is their way in. Honestly wouldn't have minded carrying a CZ side arm when I was in RTT.

Ironically I purchased both a 1911 and CZ and honestly prefer the cz. On a side note from CZ my brother in law has a shadow and that thing is bad ass

The Shadow is amazing. I love my CZ 75 BD.

Whats preventing them from doing so now?

I thought FN and HK were the two main small arms contractors for DoD now?

Those are the two or three primary foreign ones now but contracts for various weapons platforms are always coming up so there is plenty to bid on. I say that is their intention because it is the obvious answer to me for growth of the brand. Colt has/had the capabilities to win government contracts and they have the facilities to manufacture the numbers available. My guess is CZ is looking for that size increase or just roots here in the US and manufacturing in the US that will place them in a competitive position to win gov contracts.

They'll probably get their foot in the door by appealing to SOCOM and from their they will be able to build either a good or bad reputation, but that is where they will make waves.

I think they are both great and it’s tomatoe tomato with them. But I’d be lion if I didn’t say that currently I feel warmer and fuzzier about G over S. Something about G, just won me over.
