Having the Bronco name and getting a jump on big brother should bring it early success, but what's going to happen when big brother shows up. I guess in the end there will be the budget-minded customers just wanting the Bronco name, decent masculine looks, much smaller size, and better fuel mileage for a daily driver. Seeing them side-by-side reminded me just how small the Sport is.

Saw one yesterday in the Twin Peaks parking lot, both wife and I agreed we would rather see these all over the road than Escapes.

This is what the 3rd generation Escape should have been.
Loved my '08 as it was so boxy you could load up the back all the way to the roof and not have a sloping roofline get in the way. Newer escapes you have to fold down the seats to fit anything taller than the hoodline.

In high school, my buddy had an 84 Bronco on 38's. It was pretty ragged out by the time he got it and one day while we were cruising down the road the rear axle came out with the wheel attached and we tipped over to the side and ground to a stop in traffic. That was pretty cool. Lol

I saw the Sport awhile ago. Not for me but better then the Escape. I do like the full size quite a bit. Whish there was a V8 option though.

I was able to check out a loaded Badlands Sport... Man if felt like an econobox on the inside. Everything about it felt cheap. I was not impressed. I was considering one for the wife as a grocery getter, but I'm out. I get that it was only stickered at $39k, but some cheaper rental vehicles I've been in had a better feel to it. Maybe I am just jaded. If it didn't have a Bronco badge on the steering wheel I would have bet money that I was in a new Escape.

I saw and sat in one at a dealership while my car was getting a service and I gotta say. It looked better in person and when I sat in it it had a really nice feel. I didn’t drive it but I liked what I saw.

After reading about Ford shutting down its Brazil production, I got to look at the Brazilian Bronco for the first time. I kind of like it! Design wise, that I'm thinking THIS is what the new Bronco Sport chould have been (to U.S. specs). JMO.
