This thread should be closed as Treynor has been nothing but an ultra cool car guy on this board who lets us mere mortals live vicariously through him and his unreal stable of cars.
"So you're calling for the censoring of the censorship thread because you like the guy being asked?" ~Devil's Advocate

Like said above, he won't respond to this thread and shouldn't if he likes his job

Its pretty simple. Liberals own all the media outlets in this country as well as the biggest companies so of course they can censor free speech. Who is gonna stop them? No one apparently.

This might sound weak but I'm going through all my Facebook posts from prior years and deleting anything that might be considered offensive. Why? I will be applying for a new position later this year and into next year and I've heard potential employers sometimes peruse prospective employees' social media accounts.

Why would Treynor respond?

1. He either agrees that the censorship is dangerous but either has to do what he is told or be fired and most likely blacklisted from ever working again.

2. He agrees, in part, all, some, with what is being done and you all take him over the coals for having a different opinion.

He probably makes in a month what I make in a year and I still won’t publicly post, where there can be any record, some of the shit I have seen go down in the past year in or with hospitals.

They don't sometimes do it, they always do it

I’m pretty sure his department has nothing to do with monitoring postings or deciding what stays and what goes.
He’s on the operations side to make sure everything runs smoothly?

They can sensor the POTUS and all White House correspondence. Who can stop them?

For this reason I changed my last name and clicked to limit view of past posts. Never accept friend requests from coworkers

Correct, I work in operations. Need to decrease latency between Charlotte and Austin? I'm your guy. Getting intermittent errors accessing the home page? My phone's already ringing. And so on.

The OP's question seems to be about policy. I'm so far removed from policy that, like the rest of you, I typically learn about developments in the news. And that's doubly true of decisions made at other companies - AWS's Jassy is not calling to get my opinion about jack.

Added bonus: because I'm a senior manager, pretty much anything I say or do will be tied to my employer, even if it's just my own private action or opinion. Notice how all those car news articles start with "GOOGLE EXECUTIVE BEN TREYNOR races his Ford GT around..."? Yeah. So generally if you want my opinion on something unrelated to cars you're not going to get it, because there's no way for it to just be my opinion, it's always going to be represented as my employer's opinion. It's unfortunate, but it is also reality.

Anyway, onward.
