Have you ever depressed your clutch pedal, only to hear a "pop", the pedal goes straight to the floor, then see a funny black round part at your feet that looks like this?
Clutch Master Cylinder Rod End.jpg

Well, this happened to my daughter a few weeks ago. I had no idea what this part is but she found the answer. It's the stock clutch master cylinder rod end that, with time, deteriorates and eventually breaks off. According to Ford, this part is not available separately and you must purchase a complete master cylinder! She did research and found this:

Not only did I get one for her, but for myself too. I think before this part breaks without warning and leaves you stranded, replace it with an aftermarket aluminum piece like this one.

I replaced my clutch master cylinder last Spring in conjunction with replacing my clutch assembly, so I should be good for a while.

The pic above shows clearly this hard plastic pivot that operates the clutch master cylinder when depressing the pedal, similar to the brake pedal / master cylinder. Once this part breaks loose, you no longer have a clutch, period. There is no way to temporarily fix this in an emergency. Ford, in their ultimate wisdom, makes this part out of plastic! The simple solution is to replace it with a similar billet aluminum part which will never break off.

Willie, I see the two pics you posted, but there's a big gap between the last two paragraphs where you say "She did research and found this". If you're intending to display something between that sentence and the last one, it's not posting. Otherwise, we have no idea what the fix was.

When I changed my clutch master to the 13-14 model, it was obvious to me the pivot you're showing would impact the pedal assembly. I used a thicker washer under the clutch stop otherwise, I'm sure mine would have broken in similar fashion.

It's a link to Amazon. 98 svt reposted it just above yours. If you cannot see either (I can see both and both work for me), do a search for:

Note: The following may look like links but are screenshot images of the actual text. There will be two. I am doing this can see what it actually is and not what this website somehow changes it to.

When I copied and pasted the link in my original post, it was this:
Link 1.jpg

Once I posted, it looked like this:
Link 2.jpg

If I place my cursor within the "shop now", it is a hyperlink and it works.

But when I click on Edit, the link text shown above shows this way:
Link 3.jpg

I'm not a computer guru to know why it's changed, or even why it works for some and not all. My only guess is that somehow, some computers / phones alter these links....
