Nick probably has a far better grip on the corporate decision detail but I agree with you and feel that some of the decisions being made here don't align with the hopes of Ford enthusiasts.

We were told in 2015 that CF wheels (etc) would be increasing in terms of production as time passed and that prices would reflect economies of scale as they were passed on. That isn't happening. Carbon Revolution has been addressing capacity in Australia, and there will be no more GT350R so why the continued games on anything with CF wheels?

Man that is disappointing news. It’s like Ford is bending over backwards to pump up those ADMs.

Well this may be good news if my dealer can get a CFTP allocation, I would order a CFTP if I can or a CFHP if not.

To bolster that argument - the CFHP won't have the CF wing either. You'd think that would make it easier to procure, as a package, than a CFTP car. Ford continues to trip on their dick with this car and needs to stop playing games and make the car available for purchase. They did good bumping up production numbers for 2020 we'll see what happens in 2021.

Very strange that press release.
Good news on the increased capacity for the CFTP, but I’d bet a fair amount that the CFHP would be more popular than the CFTP.
As usual though, TBD how it actually rolls out.

I wonder if the CFHP will have different suspension programing and components (springs and sway bars) than the base and CFTP cars.

Yes, that is what I am thinking. If Team Shelby is involved it might roll through Vegas and be more of an upfit package similar to the Shelby GT or SS package, but not as comprehensive.

Good to hear there will be more CFTP production.

Painted stripes aren't part of the Golden Ticket, which follows suit with what others reported towards the end of production.

Overall, it sounds like there will be more of these higher optioned cars produced and packages available, which is a good thing.

Ford has nothing to do with dealer pricing and ADM’s

What I was getting at is the cfhp likely isn’t going to be available enough to satisfy everyone so Ford dealers will keep up the ADM on this newer package.
However, the 12% increase in CFTP cars will help.

We’ll see, I may have spoken too soon.

After reading the order guide this package is not going to be a big seller. The HP is $1,750 and the CFHP is $10,000. All you are getting is painted CF rims, nothing else. I can't see paying $8K for a set of rims that will be stupid expensive to replace if damaged.

I was hoping they would do some other exclusives with the package. Maybe keep the rear seat delete. Or, a different wing. Something to differentiate this package from a standard model and the CFHP. I think Ford missed an opportunity here.

They've moved on to electrification. They aren't developing anything new with this car. Notice FP has nothing to offer in their catalog for it either?

I agree with that, but it seems Ford is reserving most for the CFTP cars that make dealers much more money. I'm really interested to see the performance difference between the CF and aluminum wheels alone, all else being equal. I'd never street drive on CF wheels in CO given how bad the pot-holes are here but for any HPDE, especially 1/2 mile events I'd imagine the difference is more than marginal.

Getting ready to place the order. Does anyone know what tires come with the CFHP? This will be street driven. My '14 I'm trading in has 43k miles. I know the Pilot Cup Sport 2's that come with the Track Pack are only good for about 5k.

Good question, not sure, would assume though the CF wheels would come with Cup 2’s. That is the main reason I went with a base model is because I want to do some highway trips with my car and also being up north the spring and fall have cooler temps so the cup 2’s wouldn’t work for me. Also, I don’t plan on doin any track time and I didn’t buy the car for an “investment”, just like the car and want to enjoy it, base was the right car for me.

It looks like Micheline Pilot Sport 4S tires are standard.
