I don’t understand why anyone is getting a check that is still gainfully employed. They didn’t before Covid if they were employed. Why should they get one now.
This mindset just lost us (may not be the only reason, but a big one) the senate. Now the 2A is at risk. Thanks Mitch!

The idea is stimulus checks are intended to stimulate the economy by providing Americans with additional spending money.
It has nothing to do with your employment status.
You can help to support small and local businesses by using the Gubment stimulus money.

.
I thought the rush was because people were down to their last dollar and needed help. Not that they need to put cash in the hands of consumers to jump start the economy.

Last I checked 14 million people are seeing the very same message myself included. The government could screw up a one car funeral.

I don't know how my wife does it as a tax preparer. First day the office opens they received 78 phone calls asking about the stimulus check....

The second day about 50 phone calls. Makes me sick.

Why do people think tax places are the IRS????

A lot of us in the oil field .... I’m not saying we are doing bad. But... many people took a 40+ percent cut in pay after the -37 dollar per bbl fiasco

FlahDah man.
That is my situation. I guess you have the good fortune to not hide your pain each step you take or have a hard time wiping your ass. I would swap all those "benefits" to be pain free and working. But it ain't happening, so I am going to buy some more 5.56 and 30 rnd magazines with my Trump check.
I don't get shit due to income. On the other hand, my retired neighbors on social security and a pension get it. Makes no ****ing sense that they get this money.

OK Bozos, stop clowning around.

Op I'm seeing the same message as you. Was keeping an eye out for it so I can move it from checking to savings at my other bank when it shows up. I don't need it either and would prefer we didn't as a country waste all the money that's packed in that shitty bill.

But we are trying to buy a house this spring so I'll put it in the down payment fund.

My house is 6200 square feet on 3 acres. Pool. 6 car garage (two 3 car garages). I gave just over $600k for mine.

Apples and oranges here, but my house is 3br/3ba 2100 sq ft, 2.6 acres, small pond with fish, large inground pool, 800 sq ft guest/pool house, 40x50 shop, tennis court. Bought it for $260k in 2018. Definitely my dream home and everything I'll ever need or want!

If you are late sending a payment to the IRS they charge you interest. Since their payments are late can we charge the IRS interest? Nah. Didn't think so. Still don't have mine.

So what are you gonna do about this?

Not much I could do except wait it out. Not like I needed it though. I’ve been stacking cash in savings since March and laying low. I trimmed the fat in my budget.
