Ammoseek is the best aggregator for ammo, but at this point your talking nearly a dollar a shot. I got lambasted at Arfcom for buying 3k rounds at 40 cents a shot. That was 7 months ago.

I used to recommend building your own, but parts have been nearly non existent since April. Hell, I JUST got my hands on reputable mil-spec triggers. I had to remain tenacious and vigilent to acquire the parts for 2 Aero Precision ARs this summer.

Best bet at this point is your local gun store. Gunbroker.com, but youre probably in the thousands now for basic ARs with no name parts.

..... hmmmmm at this point I might be able to sell my x39 Vepr for a VMP 3100 supercharger.... but at this point any Russian made AK will be like fairy dust and unicorn farts to get back in the future.

You can try doing searches on sale apps sites.... craigs, FB, etc.

You can also try popping in and out at the sporting good stores and might get lucky. Ranges and pawns are also good options.

prices won’t be great but at least you will get some ammo.

this. Every time we go by Academy or Bass Pro run in and see what they have, 3 boxes at a time sucks but the price is still decent

If you’re in the Midwest I can help you with ammo and firearms at very resonance pricing. Feel free to PM me.

sounds like a road trip and group buy waiting to happen :D

Thanks everyone!! Some great feedback here and I should have a clear idea into where I’m looking. I’ll see if Venom can take care of me locally otherwise I’m referring to all these sites.

COS? colorado springs?

and I highly doubt it, I'm in FL and was mostly being a smart ass about the road trip bit. Maybe if the Tremor F150 was out and I could pick it up from Nick on the way lol.

My local academy gets trucks twice a week

Store opens at 0900. At 0600 on truck days there's a line 25-50 people deep outside the store for ammo

Is Dragonman and Specialty out of stock?Haven’t been to either is a really long time, but I’m sure their prices aren’t great right now.
Have you checked some of the smaller joints like Wildfire Mercantile, Springs Armory, etc?

I’m going to see what Venom has to offer. Bass Pro Shop was getting a load in this morning. I may swing up there after lunch. Looks like a lot of places online are out of stock. Wonder why?

demand is far exceeding supply even at jacked up rates. It's been mentioned in a few other threads but lots of new shooters, people that stockpile anytime things are looking sketchy, materials supply issues due to Covid etc...

Honestly if I could buy a couple thousand rounds @ .50 ea for decent ammo I would just to be done with it.

Primers and powder are just as hard to find (and experiencing the same supply/demand cost increase) as factory ammunition

I haven't checked in a while. I have a few years worth of powder and primers because it's easier and cheaper to stockpile. During times like these everyone should learn to reload IMO.
