Patiently waiting for real world offroad testing/aftermarket upgrades.

In a few years I will be looking at the Gen3/TRX and if the TRX looks to be a success offroad wise(aka jumping) maybe I'll lean that way.

Lol. One of the worst car channels on YouTube.

807hp on radials and running 12s. Low DA too.

Then he says he doesn’t think he could have done better.

I actually enjoy that channel! Lol

The track looked somewhat damp and he did mention spinning in third. Unless it's a prepped surface, those cars (well, any of the Hellcats) have more than proven they are a major challenge to get a decent time from.

Should have raced a Raptor vs the TRX. Would have been some Eco tears for sure.
Why does it matter since @slow poke already stated nobody cares about the category these trucks are in , all they care about is pavement 0-60 times. These are the two 0-60 truck kings.

I am sure when the Gen 3 raptor comes out with its powerboost motor it will be much more of a race with the trx then this older out of production Gen 2

I guess I watch too much #ydbt. If you are spending over 80k with intention of drag racing or even roll racing your truck why not just boost a coyote f150 with midnight performance?

This is similar to the gt500 and coyote, the new gt500 can't get out of 9s while we have coyotes in the 7s. I actually wonder where those hardcore gt500 guys went, its been quiet the passed 5 years now. LOL

Sweet trucks meant for two completely different purposes.

Is that Shelby an official Ford product, or something aftermarket?

Track was wet, didn't you notice? He did say that along with mentioning wheel spin in third.

I did, but didn’t you notice he said he thought he couldn’t do better? So the track is wet, which means you shouldn’t have tested the car anyways, but the time you post couldn’t be better?

Based on that. The Raptor is better in the categories that are more important to me in an off-road truck.

Like which?

Can this seriously be true?!?!?!?
I mean, look at the weight difference. I don't know.

Yes sir.... definitely true in a short distance like 1/8 mile. 1/4 the TRX would pass easily but SxS's are explosive out of the hole and very light compared to that truck. My RZR turbo makes about 175whp (probably the same as the Maverick in that video) and is fast as shit to about 80 mph.

What gt500 can't get out of the 9s?

I guess you could say it is aftermarket but I would consider it an official Ford product. Roush and Shelby are Ford in-house performance divisions so it’s not like a random 3rd party aftermarket company like SCA putting black widow kits on every truck model.

Roush and Shelby are not 'in house' by any means.
Closely connected yes. Does Roush even do R&D work for Ford and other OEMs, yes, but far from in house. Roush does lots of work for other OEMs outside of Ford.
(Who knew Roush designed the Dominoes Pizza mobile?)
Roush Case Studies

Who ultimately covers the warranty? That will be a primary determiner of who's vehicle this is. If it's a mishmash between Ford/Shelby/Roush, then I think you could confidently say this not a factory offering.

Still a very cool truck nonetheless.

Edit: Only 250 to be produced and the SC trim not available in all 50 states....hardly a production vehicle.
