Air show in town this weekend. Office is on airport property so it’s been awesome. This is from my house today about an hour after the show ended.

Don’t know what it was but that sound is awesome.

Had an A10, F16, F35, the Thunderbirds and the F22 putting on a show from another world.

Someone spotted this over Edwards the other day, interesting... Likely a drone I assume

Smart phones and Candid Camera can be a bitch sometimes, huh? <cough> “That’s no moon.” “Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain” ... stay tuned ...

Sorry to be so cryptic. I’m not aware of any twin jet powered UAV’s much less one with that high aspect ratio (ie, for extremely long range). Someone seems to have caught the B-21 preproduction prototype.

Update (Jan. 23): I stand corrected. This jet is apparently the RQ-180 drone. A classified deep penetrating ISR platform, which the USAF has yet to release details or photos of. The original pic was, per Aviation Week & Space Technology, taken down. Well done to the photographer and SVT poster.

North American B-25 Mitchell, likely a J model, and those are Wright R-2600 twin Cyclones. Wait till you hear 4 Duplex cyclones.

That appears to be a good landing, perhaps even a great one.

One of the most impressive and daring emergency belly-landings in recent memory has earned an A-10 Warthog pilot the Distinguished Flying Cross.

Maj. Brett DeVries, of the Michigan Air National Guard’s 107th Fighter Squadron, received the DFC on Nov. 6 for “extraordinary flight achievement” for successfully landing his A-10 Thunderbolt II without a canopy or functioning landing gear on July 20, 2017, at the Alpena Combat Readiness Training Center.
