Putting stock 01 amber lights back in my car and I don’t have the harness. I’m more than capable of making my own but I need to find a factory plug. I want to avoid cutting the car side. Can anyone grab a photo or share a part number? The taillight side of the plug was used in other vehicles for other purposes and I’m trying to use my contact at ford to source one for me.

I assume this is the connector that connects to the light...or the connector just downstream from it.
I will try to pick some numbers off of mine after another cup of coffee.

5 working pins (6 pin with connector tab on second row)
3 on one row
2 on the other.
~.5" x .5"

Female connector
SDL- 6P F
B- 3 3

Male connector
SDL 6PM
B2 8

I think the actual taillight connector could be found at www.autolumination.com

Also those connectors can be carefully twisted apart. Rather than just wedging in a wire, I took mine apart to add a blade to make a three light brake light.

The other might be this?

Just socket HW1131

1994-1998 Mustang & Cobra Side Marker Parking Turn Signal 3157 Bulb Light Socket | eBay

This may be the ticket. Standard motors product..

It must be that SDL part number, since it is used in a front seat controller as well. Each rear tail light sockets-harness is fed from it.

Though I don't see it yet in that pdf link you sent.

Maybe that c461M/F & c460M/F? I think those are the ones.

It looks something like this...it may be this..as I just rechecked mine and it is 4 pins and then 2...which makes more sense with the SDL-6 part number.

I believe the Yazaki SDL-II Series can also be used.

Female Connector:
Housing P/N 7183-4060
TPA (Terminal Position Assurance) P/N 7157-4584-80

Male Connector:
Housing P/N 7182-4060
TPA P/N 7157-4583-80

These connectors use the same pins as my previous post.

Where to purchase said connector at a decent price without ordering 500 is the key now...although some of the prices are for 1-5 pieces and if they are warehoused in the US, they might be delivered in a timely fashion. They may be found in digikey or mouser, but I didn't have much initial luck...just make sure you get tye connector with pins...

I would just make my own harness with a more common M/F connector set and splice it in, in tamdem...leaving the original OEM male connector in place.

Ok..
This may be the thing you mentioned

"The taillight harnesses that came with my 97/98 export taillights are exactly the same as these 99-01 Cobra taillight harnesses.

That WPT-343 part number is the same connector as the power seat connector for the Lincoln Continental years that I referenced above."

Problem is that the pn is the other end of the connector we are looking for.

Aside: I have loads of time right now because HCPS FL is dragging their feet on my background check..even though they did one in September... anyway.
