Gotta love that porno red.
I remember swapping out my porno red interior on my 91 GT 15+ years ago. I'm actually starting to like it again.

I predict in time this color will be popular again!

My buddies 92 GT was all red! Even the steering wheel and the whole dash.

Picture was probably back in 2000-2001.

Funny that I came across this thread, but just this past month I had a guy leaving a I want to buy your mustang card stuck to the front door of my house. I have had my car sitting behind my house for about two years now so I’m kinda not surprised I’m getting I want to buy your car notes. It actually has motivated me to get the ball rolling on it.

Just so the guy would stop with the asking I text the number he left, and we had a good mustang chat. I looked for about two years for my car it’s a 93 5.0 Calypso notch, and it’s literally my dream car so it’s not going anywhere. He tried his best and offered a to me shocking amount for it ($6k!), but he understood why I wanted to keep it. My car is not in decent shape btw...

What’s your email address? I’m not the best at getting pictures posted from my iPad, but would gladly send some pics of it via email or text. Just pm me and hopefully your better at posting pics than I am. Ha

Just curious about what my neighbor’s Foxbody might be worth. Asking for him after telling him about this thread. He has an all original (except intake and exhaust) 88 red LX vert with 70k miles. Original owner and probably a solid 8.5/10 overall. Maybe better.
Sold my 89 black gt vert with 75k miles a couple years ago for $9,000, only gears, exhaust and 5 lug done to it.

The price that he offered you doesn't surprise me at all. Like I said before, 5-6K for a notch in rough shape is where the market currently is. Even if you park it in your garage for the next 5 years and do nothing, they are only going up in value. Sounds like you have your dream car, don't sell it. This thread is littered with guys wishing they never sold their notch for dirt cheap (myself included).

I always thought porno red with black seats and some black accents would have looked good.

Yeah someone would have to really want it to get it from me. I’ve accumulated a room full of mainly interior pieces, and I know that I won’t be able to find another one without paying a premium. I’m just torn on coyote swap or keeping it pushrod 5.0 the way it came.

Sounds like you have a good plan in place to keep the car. Finding good ones in the future will only get harder and more expensive. The best part of owning a fox is that you can turn it into anything you want. Deciding between coyote or keeping it windsor based is a good problem to have. I hope the 7.3L Godzilla market expands in the next few years. Even a slightly warmed over Godzilla in a fox would be insane fun.

Whichever one gets it on the road faster.

So I found an 4cyl calypso hatch local. Figured it would be a good project for my daughter.
$3500 asking price. But the ad states he's hurting for money. Figured 2gz would take it home.

He tells me "minor surface rust"
This is odd. We don't get rust here. At all.

Here's his surface rust.

I would stay away from that one. You can only imagine what kind of "minor surface rust" is hiding underneath. Rust has gotten to a lot of these cars over the years, one more reason the price of the good survivors keeps going up.

That's the plan. I told him thanks but no. He said it was normal lol.
I said I have 4 foxes at my house now, none look like that
