Hi,

My 03 Cobra has 39k, only mods are ported blower, and a boost a pump. The other day I tried to start the car and nothing, I thought maybe the car was out of gas, it was very low. Added some gas but again, no start. I’ve checked the inertia switch, fuses (visually) and changed the fuel pumps out, hoping dead fuel pumps would be the issue but the car will still not start. I’ve checked the fuel rail pressure with a little pin and pushed the nozzle down on the fuel rail to see if the pumps build any pressure in the line, none. Would my issue be the FPDM? I don’t hear the pumps prime when the key is turned to the on position. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I’m in the N Dallas area if any of you really knowledgeable guys wanna come take a look. I’ll buy you a six pack for your troubles.

Oh and Happy New Year!

Stock fuel system? Did you change the fuel rail pressure sensor? There’s also a fuse in the fuse box under the hood that controls the fuel pump. I had that pop on me once too.

It could be pats, a fuse, relay, the ccrm, pcm, fpdm or boost a pump. Theft light doesn’t go from a slow to rapid blink when ya try to prime it/start it does it?

should be able to look up engine bay and under dash fuse panel layouts. If the fuses are good I’d probably start back in the fpdm/crash reset area and see if you’ve got any power back there

Stock fuel system, BlckBox04. Which fuse under the hood? Does it have a number designator on the fuse box?

honestly I don’t remember but I believe it’s in the row that’s closest to the blower and almost positive it’s a 30amp

I re-read the post and change my response.

Try bypassing the BAP. Check fuses. Could possibly be the FPDM.

Since you can't hear the pumps turn on I say take a hard look at your BAP install. Also don't forget it has a fuse of its own and that could have blown as well.

If your BAP was installed with crimp connectors like most do take a hard look at them. People tend to route the wires coming out of the connectors at sharp angles. Eventually the wire either breaks off at the crimp or wiggles out completely. I've had it happen to me and had it happen to people I know.
