As most of you know by now, finding mufflers for these cars is getting more difficult. I have a low mile 2003 terminator convertible and recently made the mistake of putting a Borla Atak cat back system (2.5 inch) on the car. Car already had a Bassani high-flow cat X-pipe (2.5 inch) on it, but adding the Borla system made it so loud I didn't even want to drive the car. I know the Atak's have a big following, but they aren't for me. I have a high horsepower fox body that is quieter than my stock terminator, it's ridiculous how loud they are.

Anyhow, sorry for the rant, just wanted to suggest some mufflers I found. They don't seem to have a big following on here and couldn't find any sound bites on YouTube, but Vibrant makes a very nice SS flow through muffler for the terminator. It's Vibrant part #1129. Super high quality muffler, fits under the car, sounds very, very nice. Summit can get them or you can buy from Vibrant direct. Just wanted to let others know about them if looking for replacement mufflers.

The magnaflow street mufflers can be bought on their own. I got their part number for them as I have to replace mine as they are hollow somehow but they were that way when I got them (used). I’d have to go into my emails to find it if you wanted it, they are SS straight through style like all magnaflows.

Edit: mis-read the whole post as you are recommending mufflers; I’ve been looking at some variable sound mufflers as a project to have both loud and quiet but have found few and most are $450 a piece.

Those MBRP’s are going to be basically as loud as the Borla’s, no? That’s essentially what I have on my car, but I have MagnaFlow magnapacks. They are not quiet at all. Idle they are, but anything other than idle and light cruising, they just screen. I love it. But I barely drive my Cobra.
I bet those MBRP’s sound awesome though. I have a MBRP exhaust on my f250 and my snowmobile. Both sound great and quality is top notch.

I'm always looking for a better sound. My car came with a SLP LM1 cat back. I replaced the mufflers with LM2 to help tone it down some but it's still a bit obnoxious. I would really like to hear your setup since (like you mentioned) there's nothing out there on you tube. If you could post a sound clip that would be great. Thanks for this info.

I have stock headers, catted bassani x and stingers and it’s too loud with crazy drone for my liking. I was looking for options as well.
