Also deleted face book years ago. It was consuming way to much space on my (I believe it was the S7 era). I have never looked back.

It also just became an invasion of to much of my privacy, and it just got old to me and became annoying.

It doesn't bother me any to not be on there, but some of my family members complain to me that I'm not.

I've thought about it a few times. Problem is, being that we have kids and elderly relatives, it's about the only way we can socialize/connect with them. Especially the ones not here.

My FB is absolutely scrubbed of any relevant info. It's basically my name, photos of my son, and random car posts I make. Otherwise I use it for marketplace and groups. And since i'm only on there to connect with family/friends, I don't post a damn thing about politics or news lol.

I wish others shared the same sentiment.

I’m on FB just to see random updates from people I know but don’t really keep in contact with, but that’s about it.

Occasionally I’ll see some sort of idiotic post and show it to my wife.

That and s couple car forums round out my social media.

Whoever posted “Social media is cancer” nailed it on the head. That’s been my personal description that I’ve been using for years now when it comes to general nasty attitudes online.

I enjoy the marketplace too much. The beauty is that anything I see and don't like on FB, I can just scroll by…
This. I find stuff on car pages, especially fox mustang parts.

I got rid of facebook 5+ years ago and have no other social media. The problem is- facebook tells you that you have unsubscribed...but after 6 months... in truth...they never delete your account..At any time once you have joined FB you can enter name and pw and it's like you never left. At least that's the way it was then and I suppose now.

I've groomed my Facebook feed to not include anything other than people I want to see stuff from, car groups, ATV/SxS groups, and BBQ/cooking groups. Anyone that has a habit of posting a bunch of political stuff from either side of the aisle gets unfollowed.

I got twitter when it first came out, but deleted my account after maybe a month (never posted). People are just so over the top, and everyone is trying to sell something.

Still have FB for car forum stuff and sell somethings in Market Place. I am a moderator on the Superformance group, but not much ever happens.

I have Parler, I like Parler, but again everyone is selling something.

Lol. You didn't dump FB, if you still have a burner account.

Fair enough but a lot of small businesses don't have websites and it's helpful to see their updates, or local community pages so you can know if roads are closed etc. And marketplace is decent.
With my real account it was hard to unfollow my wife's family or business associates who friended you, or your douche cousin that gets drunk and does a FB live video of the shitty band he's watching at some beer and shot place.

I'm on about all of the big foxbody pages, and every Saleen page. I've bought and sold numerous parts there. Honestly, I would never found the Saleen I have now if it wasn't for FB.

I'm a FB quitter as well; last year.
I was primarily on every Cobra/Shelby FB page but enough was enough.

Tired of tuners talking shit (you know who you are if your reading this), and the same old pissing matches over "What size tire fits on my 10" wheel?"

The downside is I gotta work harder to track car shows and sell items since I don't have FB market place. Am I missing good deals? Maybe. But fuk FB.

I've always said, FB is like the Saturday night import and ricer car meet.
SVTP is the Saturday morning Cars and Coffee hangout; maybe because it's actually moderated.

Never joined Facebook, IG or Twitter out of privacy concerns but was thinking of joining Twitter and maybe Instagram on Jan 1 for a New Year's resolution.
