So after selling the 03 Cobra about two years ago, I've been not so patiently looking for the next toy. I stumbled across this 2011 Shelby Gt500, 2 owner car with only 6,800 miles, on the East coast of Florida and jumped on her! If my research is correct this is 1 of 425 in performance white for this year and 1 of 110 with the stripe delete package. Let the tasteful modding begin! Any advise would be great in regards to mods. But the first few I think I'm going to go with are an Eguage with a Lund tune along with catless midpipe,CAI,and axleback mufflers(not sure which brand yet)? The car will get a blower transplant in the near future with all the supporting mods. Thanks for looking!

Congrats! Looks clean

If going with a CATLESS MID, I preferred the stock mufflers.
Something I learned coming off Cobras, and most will tell you is, STOCK GT500 MUFFLERS (10-14) actually sound the best w/ headers off road mids, etc.

In any case, my 2011 Mod list and results are in this thread on post #1.
Pretty simple approach to power on the 5.4. Good luck

That is a hell of a find!! Low mileage, stripe delete, and white. Very nice sir.

Skip pulleys and tunes IMO. Just dive into a trinity TVS (budget) or a VMP Gen3r along with a tune. It will literally transform the car.

I made 653whp with a Trinity 2.3, Trinity injectors, tune, and a CAI... through stock manifolds. Car absolutely RIPPED and the torque would flatten your chest. Good stuff.

Congrats

Ya, man, super sharp call in all white like that.

Like Gimme11s said, skip all the crap in between and just put a larger volume blower on top with the usual mods. There are several "recipes" you can follow here that will pretty much guarantee a certain amount of power. Just depends on how much you want.

What I learned from my last 03 was to just skip the smaller pulley and tune and go right to the bigger blower with the fuel mods!In the end I'm shooting for around 800. I plan on keeping all the stock parts unlike I've done in the past. This car is definitely not a daily driver. Thank you guys for your input and Kona I was going to be banging down your door for advise very soon on here or IG!

If you want to give me a call I can walk you through the options that allow you to enjoy extra power without breaking the bank, setting up a path to your end goal. I don't sell parts. But I DO tune a metric ton of GT500s.

Also, I would call BJ. I did, and he saved me a lot of time and wasted money. He diagnosed a tuning issue I was having with another company, and long story short... I gapped a 2020 corvette by a car's length the other day. Enough said.

You've gotten a lot of great advice to this point. Be sure to post back after your mods to let us know what you ended up doing and how much power/torque you're making with those mods.

Oh, and congratulations!!

Well vetted platform with huge potential if done right.
Be very HONEST with your goals for power and use.
I’ve heard 800hp but how do you intend to use it—drag, street only, street/strip?
Get some sticky tires then respect the RPM and octane!
Congrats on a nice purchase.
