looks like freedom....freedom to send those pistons to the sky when they run out of fuel to burn.

again, not one failure. This kit has been put on over 2000 hellcat engines. Biggest complaint is belt slip but zero have blown up. That’s the “knowledge” I went with. You know, the real world stuff.

Call me crazy I guess.

Only time I have actually blown an engine is when my car WAS tuned.

Honestly I can couldn’t care one way or the other...not my car, not my problem. Funny thing for me is the only car Ive had actually break was one that was left completely stock and babied.

Thats why I posted if it dies, it dies. No skin off my back one way or the other. I just wish everyone the best with their mods and hope that they took the time to properly set the car up with the corresponding upgrades. If they did then its great, if they didn’t and didn’t listen to the guys who actually work on this stuff for a living oh well too.

I got no dog in the fight, but @Diablo Mike is right about needing a tune. On all forums I found when anyone actually ran a datalog on the car it showed a lot of Knock. The onboard diagnostic screen doesn’t read everything.

Damn, so close to a 10 second run*.

Been trying to get my dad to get Livernois to tune his, but I think any tuning went bye bye after his transmission broke an internal part. covered under warranty(8yr 125k), but the SA said they've seen a few come in with the same issue.

Thinking out loud, but if the engine made a free window in the block or had some internal damage, couldn't FCA be able to see that the boost exceeded the stock levels by quite a bit(and factoring in colder temps)?

Even if the truck came in with stock pulley and computer, I thought they could pull up data from the computer in diagnosing why it went boom. While some random advisor may not know about the incognito pulley I would assume FCA engineer that gets sent out may notice something amiss.

The shop that sells these is RipaTuned. He sells all sorts of upgrades for this engine, tunes them as well. He has sold over 2000 of the kits and there hasn't been any engine failures. The key is running good fuel as others have mentioned. That being said IF I could really find a tuner that could swap ECU's and make it untraceable I would be interested. Especially since I am just a tune away from running in the 10's. Could probably get into the 10's on a good tire as well at this point.

RipaTuned does have some complaints but not for engine failures due to my kit. Slow shipping, belt slip and questionable customer service are the main items i researched before biting. But not one forum, google search or anything has shown an engine failure due to this kit. Again, not saying I won't tune, just trying to figure out if I decide to tune can I hide it? If not might as well go big and do a 900 kit or 1100 kit!

Possibly, but warranty denials need to be proven. If the glove don't fit YOU MUST ACQUIT!

I would take that with a huge grain of salt. You are running an unpinned lower and it is EXTREMELY common to spin the crank pulley on these motors.

Anyone that knows anything about these motors is pinning the crank with just a tune. And that is just pump gas.

Look forward to the "My shit is on a flatbed" thread with the current set up.

That right there is what multiple forums said. So far no one has blown an engine, but it has been recognized that this and the Hellraiser kit is playing with fire. In my opinion if you are gonna do something like this tune and be safe. Shit or get off the toilet.

My problem with this whole “hide my tune for warranty” issue is that you are lying to the dealer and manufacturer claiming a stock vehicle and are committing fraud. Crap like that is why guys like me have through jump through hoops to get our stock cars warrantied after a catastrophic failure. My Camaro broke stock and they held that bitch for almost a week to investigate a stock car because of dickheads modding and lying about mods to keep warranty

I have a 10% lower with a pinned crank on my Hellcat, but this was way before the Incognito pulley ever came out.

My buddy has a Incognito pulley and a Legmaker Intake on his Hellcat Challenger. He did it at the beginning of this year but never had an issue. I personally wouldn't do it but OP is right in the fact where I haven't heard anyone having issues with the incognito.

That pulley was also designed to give people who only want "a little more", out of their Hellcat engine hence the "no tune". That pulley isn't meant to be on your mod list if you're going for full bolt ons.

BUT, OP, sweets runs! That jeep moves out and is probably a blast to drive. Good luck with it.

Again, your only about 1.5 hours from Tim Barth (Barth Tuning). He is one of the major players when it comes to Hellcat tuning.

Give Tim a call to discuss your options. If an untraceable tune exists, Tim would know about it.
