Ok then, name a Mclaren that out performs the SF90 that isn't a dedicated one-off race car with no glass side windows, insulation, and sound deadening. Cause the SF90 at a 1000 hp and very lightweight coming in at a Million + fits the bill for HYPERCAR and is street legal everywhere and isn't referred to as a "Race car".

The only competitor for Mclaren is the 765 and it doesn't fit the 1000 hp bill or the million dollar bill either which make the FERRARI the only Hypercar in this debate!

GNBrett - you are def'ly wrong in this thread.

Bro the P1 is not legal here in the US so I dont even consider that as an option. Its legal in the European Union only so u can stop with the P1 nonsense its not a street car.

Alright you definitely don't know what you're talking about. The P1 is street legal and of the 375 produced, over 120 are in the United States.

You still acting like the Speedtail doesn't exist. Are you even familiar with the 1000+ HP, 3 seater, center driving positioned, Hypercar that Mclaren sells, right now?
I haven't seen any actual instrument testing for the SF90 but you gonna be mad if the 765 keeps up with it :)

Hypercars can be registered for the street and are not dedicated "Race Cars" on the street.

There were (75) P1 GTR's produced. Those are 4.5 million one-off race cars for the street bro.

The P1 GTR lacks all of the creature comforts today’s hypercars enjoy such as glass side windows, insulation, and sound deadening because its not a street car its a RACE CAR!

The 765 is the only competitor for the SF90 and the SF90 is just in another league imo. Both make awesome cars but Ferrari is still King and still superior to the the best Mclaren u can buy for the street!

You know @treynor has/had a P1 when it came out right? He owns most of the cars we are talking about and can probably back up what everyone is saying here because almost your entire post is wrong.

What Mike ever do to you?

I'd love to hear Treynor's opinion of McLaren vs Ferrari but I'm sure not a smart play to hurt one of their feelings. This thread did bring a smile to my face though.

They're such different cars.

The Senna is an overpowered GT3 car on street tires. Huge aero, huge brakes, plenty of power, ultra light, drives like a race car with less mechanical grip -- with all the upsides and downsides that implies for street use. Loud, rough, plenty of overhangs - for the Senna, street driving is just a means to get to the nearest racetrack.

The LaFerrari is a bona fide hypercar. Gobs of power, direct steering, instant torque and that wonderful V12 howl, yet totally comfortable to drive around town or for a 4-hour stint through the mountains. On the flip side, it is first and foremost a street car - it's plenty fast on a racetrack, but it lacks the aero that the Senna brings to bear in the high-speed corners, and the spring rates and dampening are calibrated for the street first and the track second. Ferrari clearly knows their target audience and they hit it dead center with the LaF.

Are any of McLaren's new offerings, like the Speedtail and GT, getting anywhere near Ferrari-levels of comfort and practicality? Seems like they are trying to fill that void and be more competitive with those two models.

How does the P1 compare to the LaF? Are both hyper street cars? Or is the P1 also streetable racecar?

The P1 is much closer to the LaFerrari. It's more cramped inside (mostly the CF tub design) and louder than the LaF, but also a touch quicker in a straight line. It's a perfectly driveable car for day-to-day use if you don't mind the 10 minutes of conversation every time you park.
